Refaat, a writer and activist, empowered Palestinians to write their own stories, to take back the narrative, and to be heard by the world. He was a leading expert in Palestinian history and the zionist occupation, amplifying his principled anti-zionist stance to the world.
His final tweet was: "The Democratic Part and Biden are responsible for the Gaza genocide perpetrated by Israel."
