They boast about how the Baltic is an American, a NATO Sea. No one else could have done it.

It's pretty obvious to any sentient being that it was the Americans that did it. Russia lost a lot of money from this terrorist attack.
Europe will never again be able to accept Russian gas even if Putin was overthrown; even if he was replaced by Boris Yeltsin brought back from the dead.
I'm certain that there will be action taken. I think that Russia will take the moral high ground.

The German government was told by the CIA that the US government was contemplating such a terrorist attack.
They actually cocked it up as one of the two pipelines is actually intact, and can be resumed as soon as the political will in Germany to resume it is found.
So they carried out the biggest terrorist attack since 9/11 and they made a balls of it. You'd need heart of stone not to laugh about that, wouldn't you?
