GREENS JOIN MERKEL REGIME. The really funny footnote of things to come in former Germany is: the GREEN party got boosted in 1982 by SPD Chancellor Schmidt's decision to bring U.S. mid range nukes ("Pershing") to West Germany in order to gain first strike capability for NATO against the Soviet Union and Warsaw Pact. Targets had been East Germany, Czechoslovakia, Poland - by the way. Their opposition against this policy (and some help from East Berlin, Moscow) spilled the GREENS into German parliament. Now, 2017, joining a coalition with the rather leftist Merkel regime, those GREENS will have to advocate Merkel's military confrontation of Russia in the Baltics, Poland, Ukraine. Which, you guess, would be: nuklear (see "Zapad 2017" drills). That's a "trick of history", isn't it? 💥
