Of course, we all know SWE can get really good TC as a fresh grad. However, whenever I search online (or the excel sheet), the TC stated there are all considered relatively the higher end ones? And the companies are repeating itself (faang, bytedance, shopee etc.) But what should be the actual expectation for an average CS students aiming for other MNCs like PayPal, Visa etc.? The number of covid cases in the country is like sky high, but I still have an upcoming physical midterm in SOC. A lot of friends I know are getting covid so why hasn’t it been shifted online?? Like a few people are already going to be taking online because they have covid. I think I’m quite likely to get covid from this :(

I find hard catching up & understanding the material by myself, and unfortunately, my TA is not very helpful at this point. Whenever I ask a question, s/he checks the message at least after a day…
(+ I personally find difficult to understand the explanation as well)

Hi guys, came across this forum by randomly.
Think it's an awesome forum, wish I knew earlier ..
Anyway, I want to know what bonus scheme tech companies here has ?
For Shopee, it has a yearly bonus every January, up to 4 months of monthly salary based on performance. ( of course most don't get that much )
What about other companies.. like Google / Facebook / Bytedance / Grab.. anybody has any idea ?
