The Boleyn 🍻 ⚒
#Barking Road/#GreenStreet, #London, #E6 - @BoleyntavernPub
Possibly the most famous #Westham pub around.
Since #UptonPark stadium moved to #Stratford the area rapidly changed, losing many cultural & recognisable traits.

The Horror Of #UptonGardens
(Former site of @WestHam football ground) ⚒ #WestHam - #GreenStreet, #UptonPark, #London, #E13
Once a community hub, now an unwelcoming housing estate. Like it's core, the sites surroundings have become a tragic scene of modernism.

Between 1928 and 1972 #WestHam Stadium existed in #CustomHouse, east #London, on #PrinceRegentLane, near the present-day Prince Regent DLR station. Also used for for #greyhoundracing & #speedway, granting space for 120,000 people. I wonder what it was like to be there. @WestHam
In my youth, the area of #Stratford/#Hackney was always a place for the less fortunate to find refuge or for the lower classes to start a business of their own. Now, even the slums that once hid us from the world are being used to replace the places that once brought us together.

This is #GreenStreet (Borough of #Newham), East London [boundary between East/#WestHam]. It's become a crime-ridden tipping ground that never sleeps. I've seen this across #London for years. Overcrowding, mess, & disrespect from others destroys the city & therefore, the nation.
Last home game of the season for #WestHam
@ Britains___Pubs
Get down to the #Carpenters where you'll find music, an outside bar and plenty of atmosphere. A few minutes walk from West Hams stadium, this is one of #Stratfords last gems. ⚒️

This moment silently says so very much, about so many wrongs.
The Cats of East #London have plagued my conscience since my youth. My family had warehouse units on the border of #WestHam/#Stratford.
In the yards existed tough strays who'd use our warehouses to give birth. Their lives are one of incredible hardship. I used to save as many litters as possible, even taking some of the kittens home.
Before this experience I used to think I hated Cats, but upon years of helping them I realised what I hated most was suffering.
Life is incredibly difficult even with others to comfort you. Without, it's barely even a life at all.
Today, we're so uncaring of our fellow humans that we're forever slipping away from a world fit for all species.
