Charming Video Of Ladies In A #London Pub (1970's)
This video is lovely, their warm sense of humour and sense of togetherness is something today's communities lack. The public houses of Britain mean so much to all of us.
They even sing about the "Old kent Road" which is a major thoroughfare in South East London passing through the London Borough of #Southwark.

I have a confession to make, I find an unexplainable amount of satisfaction watching doctors attack ingrown hairs etc on You Tube.
I've tried to stop, but I just can't.

Today's changes are far worse than the abandonment and demise of places such as Carthage.

The Old Dick Whittington (Also known as The Old Dick) #RIP ⚰️
Once situated at 24 #ClothFair, #Farringdon, #London, the original beerhouse opened in 1846 and was previously a 16th century timber framed house.
The Corporation of London acquired the building in 1916 so as to create a new thoroughfare from Long Lane to #Aldersgate
As a result it was subsequently demolished never to be seen again.
I have to say this really is a tragic loss that many of us wouldn't have seen without others who preserved such images before us.
We must do the same while we're here to do so.

A photograph of Dean Street railway bridge probably taken after 1894 when the Side was widened. The photograph was taken from the bottom of the Side looking up to its junction with Dean Street. The railway bridge spans the width of the Side which is lined with shops and offices. In the foreground there is a man on horseback a cart and people standing on the road and pavements.
