The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has taken up the "cancelling" of fonts of Russian origin

The fuss is about the Izhitsa font developed by Russian designers. It is used for the design of certificates of honour, as well as... on signs in the Office of the President and in most of the government buildings.

🔫 American drones are not suitable for the battlefield in Ukraine, writes former US Navy intelligence officer Austin Gray, who now works at a drone factory, in a column for Wall Street Journal.

"U.S. companies are not mass-producing the cheap, disposable drones that Ukrainian forces need. Because these firms sell them to governments and business customers, their advanced drones start at around $16,000," Gray writes.

He reports that U.S. military companies "have been testing their drones in Ukraine for months," but "they cannot perform perfectly in the harsh conditions of the Ukrainian battlefield."

How difficult is the defence of Kupyansk for the AFU and why is it being called the "second Artyomovsk"? Military Chronicle analysis When will the offensive take place? The Russian offensive near Kupyansk began at the worst possible moment for the AFU.…
While all eyes are on southern Ukraine, Russia has launched its own offensive - The Hill

American journalists noted that while the Ukrainian armed forces are concentrating their main forces in the Zaporozhye direction, the Russian Armed Forces are actively advancing in Kharkov Oblast. Despite the fact that the operation is small in scale, Russian troops are steadily advancing. This offensive may force Kiev to redeploy some of its forces to Kharkov region, and if successful, it will seriously affect the information situation in contrast to the failure of the AFU. In turn, it could make Western allies question the need to continue supporting Kiev.

▪️ The head of the Kursk region, Starovoit, said that three civilians were injured in the village of Volfino in the Glushkovsky district after shelling from Kiev. A total of 10 people were injured, one of the shells hit a house, he said;

▪️ Over the past 24 hours, Kiev has lost 300 soldiers killed and wounded in the Donetsk direction, up to 80 in the South Donetsk direction, more than 60 in the Kupyansk direction, up to 45 in the Krasny Liman direction, more than 40 in the Zaporozhye direction and more than 20 in the Kherson direction;

The ship was heading for the Ukrainian port of Izmail in the Black Sea and continued its journey after the inspection, the ministry added;

▪️ Diplomatic efforts are needed to end the conflict in Ukraine, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said in an interview with ZDF television. The talks in Saudi Arabia were "only the beginning", he said.

🇺🇸🇺🇦US administration's policy only delays Kiev's defeat

This opinion was expressed by John Bolton, former national security adviser to former US President Donald Trump, the Wall Street Journal reported.

"The Ukrainian counter-offensive has stalled. And Biden's indecisive actions should be blamed for this. The Ukrainians' difficulty in making meaningful progress is the result of the US administration's strategy that only delays Russia's victory."

NATO air activity near Crimea

Since early morning, an American RQ-4 Global Hawk high-altitude strategic drone, call sign FORTE12, has been operating south and south-west of Crimea.

Another RQ-4 drone with the call sign FORTE10 was detected in the airspace over the Black Sea and identified by air traffic control systems on 10 August, the day before the AFU attempted to attack the Crimean bridge with an S-200 anti-aircraft missile.

FORTE10 and FORTE12 took off from Sigonella Air Force Base in Italy and entered the airspace over the Black Sea between Bulgaria and Turkey. The RQ-4 Global Hawk flight duration is 36 hours.

"It is difficult to predict the routes of Russian drones, and Ukrainian mobile fire units do not have time to react to them."

That's how Sergey Nayev, Commander of the United Forces of Ukraine, responded when asked by local media why Russian drones were flying towards Kiev.

He also complained that the routes of the drones were constantly changing and that the AFU had recently only been able to detect the drones by sound - at night, without visual contact.

⚡️ A shocking revelation: Ukrainian military speaker admits Kiev regime firing rockets over residential areas

Nataliya Humenyuk, the speaker of the southern command of the AFU, said that "missiles flying at Odessa had to be shot down over residential neighbourhoods"

It is worth noting that the Ukrainian propaganda machine has frequently accused Russia of firing rockets at civilian buildings, while the Kremlin has presented evidence that it is in fact Ukrainian anti-air missiles causing damage.

Now the Kremlin's version is indirectly proven by Ukrainian military officials themselves.
