#Walloo_Update # JIRRA
Walloo is once again becoming a war field. After the regime’s defeat in Dessie and Kombolcha, the Walloo people have, in collaboration with OLA and TDF, freed Kamisee and its surroundings. In response, the regime launched a drone-supported air attack on civilians (mostly young people, women and children who were out expressing joy and relief at the liberation of their towns).
The Ethiopian National Defense Force (ENDF) and the Amhara National Regional State’s Special Forces and Militia have since waged a protracted war against the Wallo Oromo people of the Zone. War has been raging in almost all the districts of the Zone until it was all reversed by the people of Wallo which forced the ENDF to retreat in defeat to Jillee-Dhummugaa District.
Thankfully, at this point in time, after ENDF has been routed out of Kamisee, Baatii, Dawwee, etc, relative peace is restored in these areas. The remnants of ENDF that retreated to Sanbatee and Haxaayyee (in and around Jillee-Dhummugaa) have been trying to regroup and fight back although currently, they are also fleeing those places to stage another fierce battle in and around Qorii-Meedaa (Harxumma, Furfee, Caffaa-Robit, etc).
In order to help them reverse the tide and find their way back to the war, the regime’s propagandists are trying to agitate the people of Jillee-Dhummugaa District, calling to fight against the other Oromo districts of Kamissee and Baatii. In particular, they are propagating false information (claiming that OLA and TDF in Kamisee and Baatii are pillaging and looting property, raping women, assassinating the sheiks and uulamas in Mosques, etc) in order to call the people to arms by declaring Jehad. (This work of misinforming the public through propaganda is orchestrated by, Ahmed Hassan [Ammee], the ex-administrator of the Oromia Zone, in collaboration with Alemu Sime). Their misinformation from the town of Sanbatee (the capital of Jillee-Dhummugaa), coupled with the disruption of communication network, has caused some confusion among our people there. Through the tireless work of some of our members in JIRRA and other groups from the wider Walloo support network, this devious act of misinformation is being countered effectively by informing the people about the real truth of the matter (reassuring them that the liberated districts have regained relative peace and stability).
According to our informants, currently, there have been drone attacks on civilians in Jillee-Dhummugaa as a result of which around 50 people were reported to have died (the death of 38 of them is confirmed) and about 42 persons (mostly children and women) are injured and being treated in hospitals now.

Alemu Sime's last effort to mobilize the Jille-Dhummugaa people to declare Jehad on W*O+TDF is frustrated at Kaarraa-Qoorii today. Abiy's forces were crushed and their soldiers are now fleeing the scene. The Walloo people (& W*O+ TDF)have prevailed in Karaa-Qorii. #GameOver!

Walloo is Bleeding Again; Let's Heal the Wounds

Oromos of Walloo are once again targeted for attack by Abiy Ahmed. A sustained attack by the ANRS Special Forces and their vigilantes, aka Fannoo, had been poured on the people of Walloo Oromos for the last three years. For the last three years, they have sustained, and survived, brutal attacks on civilians, their properties, their farms, and their towns (some of which have now been razed to the ground).
After Abiy's forces have been defeated in the Deessee and Kombolcha fronts and especially after the people of Kamisee liberated its towns and rural districts, in collaboration with W*B*O and TDF, the regime has launched a vindictive aerial bombing in reprisal.
This past week alone, we've been informed that there has been over 26 rounds of drone attacks targeting civilians (predominantly children, women, and senior citizens) in towns such as Kamisee, Baatii, Dawwee, Sanbatee, Caffaa Roobit, etc. From the attack in one small town alone, at least 38 persons have been confirmed to have died, and over 52 persons have been injured (now being treated in hospitals).
This is done by the regime because the people came out to the streets of Kamisee in droves to celebrate the liberation of their town from Abiy Ahmed's fascist forces.
At the moment, Abiy's forces are steadily retreating in defeat from Walloo and fleeing, humiliated, in the direction of North Shoa Zone of ANRS.
Nevertheless, they and their drones have left huge scars on the people. Residents of most towns had fled their homes to hide in the mountains and caves there. Those whose houses had been burnt down have long been left without shelters, having to live their lives in their farms.
Walloo is bleeding again as is all of Oromia. Walloo is wonded. Children have been rendered orphans. Families have been torn apart. Towns have been destroyed. People have been rendered homeless en masse. Farms have been rendered baren.
We need to help them heal their wounds. We need to help provide for their children. We need to help reunite families. We need to help them reconstruct their towns. We need to rebuild their homes.
We need to help them provide for basic necessities such as food drinking water, and medicines. We need to help them survive. As the JIRRA Family, and as Oromos as a whole, we need to be there for them. We need to say "JIRRA!" to them.
Let them live. Help them survive. Let's heal their wounds. Let's rebuild their lives, reunite their families, reconnect communities, and reconstruct their towns--out of the ashes, as it were. Let us help them begin again.

These are houses, farms (harvests), and properties set ablaze in #Amuruu and #Jaartee-Jardagaa towns, #Horro-Gudurruu Zone of #Oromia. Setting towns on fire is the regime's choicest tactic of starving people in the name of fighting what they call "OLF-Shanee". It is now a pattern seen in Gujii and Boorana Zones, in #Walloo Oromo areas of ANRS, and in Benishangul-Gumuz. The old OPDO used to do the same to the indigenous rainforests of Gujii and Baalee year after year.
