For those of us who have only known the one True Church, who have believed since birth, moving through the motions of life with very little thought about God can happen more easily than we realise.
We live mindlessly, rely on what we know, not pausing to seek, much less acknowledge God. We get used to having a God.
Our lives are at the mercy and grace of God – it is only because He has willed, by His grace and mercy, we can.
In response, in all that our hearts set out to do, may the power of the Holy Spirit continually fuel our zeal and reverence for God.

How do we grow in faith? Through the word of God.
Some Christians brush off Bible reading as being unimportant or repetitive.
But the Bible is God’s word — and taking in His words is the most straightforward way to understand God’s heart and follow Him.
God’s word nourishes our faith when we hear and accept it, believing in what God has said.

“…Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? …Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain, “The Spirit who dwells in us yearns jealously”?” – James 4: 4-5
What about our love and faithfulness to God?
After spending much of our time in each day consumed by matters of the world, as night falls, how close or how distant does God seem to us?
How has it become easy for us to neglect God in moments of joy and sorrow?
How easily are our hearts and minds distracted by instant relief from everyone and everything else?

Despite not know His why, we know WHO He is.

Do we know that our desires and intentions come to pass only because God is grace, allows us to be amidst the ‘rights’ and ‘wrongs’ in them both?
Do we know that our lives henceforth are a testament of God? How do we, therefore, live as testaments of God? How much more will we test God’s grace and mercy?
Let’s reflect here.

Your Strength Within
On the surface, we have no lack – shelter over our heads, food in our stomachs, clothes on our backs. In fact, many of us live in abundance – we have so much more than we need.
Beneath the surface, are we just the same? Is it possible to outwardly abound but remain inwardly abased?
Our God does not see as man sees – man looks at the outward appearance, but God looks at the heart. Is our inner man strengthened from submission to God, or weakened, stubborn and unmoved, swayed away from God by our own ego?

2️⃣ As we work for God, God also wants to work in us

💪🏼 If we’re at our limits in serving God, this is a chance for us to experience a breakthrough.
💪🏼 Rather than quit, perhaps a better strategy is to double down on prayers for strength, ability, and wisdom.
When we humbly turn to God, He shows us that His work is securely in His hands. We are mere vessels for His use and glory.

Being our loving Saviour, God wants to give us opportunities to experience His power.
