Catch up on last week’s CDBD devotionals! Some things to reflect on:

🥰 When we know we have sinned and wholeheartedly repent, God is faithful and just to forgive our sins. Remember that we have a God who desires all men to be saved!

🗣️ Jeremiah courageously followed God’s will; he brought a message to the people knowing that it would not be welcomed. Do we tell others of the truth of salvation from the Bible knowing that many would not like to hear?

🤔 In our lives today, God conveys His messages to us through various ways. Are we willing to wholeheartedly listen to the entirety of His messages? Or, are we selectively hearing His messages?

Join us as we read Jeremiah 29 - 31 this week!

⛅️ God knows the future, and His plans for us are good and full of hope. While we still feel pain, suffering, or hardships on earth, God will see us through to the glorious conclusion!

📜 God’s message is balanced with words of peace and words of fear. Words of peace give hope, while words of fear serve as a reminder to keep in check our ways, thoughts, and words. Don’t let afflictions sour our relationship with our loving Father!

💡 God called the Israelites to set up signposts and landmarks and set their heart on the right highway. What signposts have we set up so that we will not lose our way home?

Join us as we read Jeremiah 32 - 34 this week!

God is there to give us hope. Let us not miss this because of our own stubbornness and pride!

🚶‍♀️ Do we seek God’s counsel when faced with uncertainty and difficult circumstances? Even though God’s will may differ from our plans, how willing are we to follow His will?

😔 Despite Jeremiah’s warnings to the people, they accused him of speaking falsehood and chose to trust in men. Have we listened to God’s word? Or, has our pride caused us to ignore His words?

When we forget a lesson from the past or refuse to learn it, we risk repeating our mistakes. Our past is our lessons of experience; let our past mistakes direct us to God’s way!

🙏🏻 Our obedience towards God determines how He will treat us. Rather than selectively obeying God’s commands, let us be obedient believers who obey Him wholeheartedly.

😔 Despite all our flaws and weaknesses, God still loves us and remembers us. Regardless of what circumstances we face, remember that the discipline of God is just and done out of love!

One day or day one. Your choice.
Guard your heart with the word of God. With it, He is transforming you.

One strategy for guarding your heart:
focus on one weakness at a time
think about verses related to that weakness
pray earnestly for the Holy Spirit’s mighty power to help you overcome it
be intentional about your actions when opportunity arises / the weakness surfaces

God is faithful. He doesn’t want us to be bound to sin. He will most definitely help us overcome sin’s grip.

Will we put in the work? Do we believe?
Today is a good day to start inquiring of God 🤩

To inquire of God means to ask God for direction on what to do.

God is with you. Will you walk with Him?
Catch up on last week’s CDBD devotionals! Some things to reflect on:

📱No man can effectively multitask; neither equally outstanding in all facets, nor equally faithful and steadfast in all relationships. So, where do our heart’s loyalties lie – in God alone or in all the world?

🫀What are our hearts made of, sinful stone or steadfast flesh? Are we ungodly fools struggling to turn away from old follies, or are we God’s followers, eternally transformed?

📖 Do we believe the words of the Bible? Do we believe every word is God-breathed and profitable in every way? If so, why do we still give ourselves excuses to remain stuck in sin, excuse ourselves from taking full ownership of our salvation?

Join us as we read Ezekiel 13 – 15 this week!
The hardest times can lead to the most beautiful things. Have faith — God is here with you.

📌 Let us never use someone’s circumstances to conclude if they have sinned

Just because something tragic befalls a person 💥does not💥 mean they have sinned or that this is a punishment.

Sometimes these moments are tests of their faith.

Sometimes, God has chosen this person to glorify His name.
