* Powder Snow Avalanche – A mix of snow and air moving at high speed
* Wet Snow Avalanche – Caused by melting snow


4. Effects –
* Loss of life and property
* Destruction of infrastructure
* Changes in landscapes
* Disruptions in transportation


5. Prevention & Safety Measures –
* Controlled explosions to trigger small avalanches
* Afforestation to stabilize slopes
* Avoiding risky areas during high-risk seasons
* Using avalanche warning systems.
