MAA @melikealtinisikarchitects design proposal for Seoul #Metropolitan #Library (SML)

Design aims to create a core cultural facility with an urban cultural park that will serve as a base for the community in Seodaemun where housing, educational, job, cultural, and commercial functions are  harmonized.

SML is not located in the Park, actually the Park is relocated on and in all levels of SML. Designing an elevated second ground (+6.00) ‘Amphi Terrace’ creates an extension of the park with an organic connection into the center of the SML. Meanwhile the ‘Gardenscapes’ flow on, in, under and around the library.

It is expected to inspire new vitality in the region as a culture network for the citizens to preserve cultural background with sustainable architectural vision while becoming a cultural living room and a learning centre.

Project Overview. The #Asian Games Cricket Field at the Pingfeng Campus of Zhejiang University of #Technology is located on a 49,400 square meter site on the west side of the original track and field area. It is situated at the foot of the Ziwu Tide Mountain in the Ziwu Tide National Forest Park, adjacent to the #school #library, with the ancient Yunhe Canal Road to the south and Shangbu River Road to the north. The new venue has a total building area of 12,689 square meters #spread #across three floors above ground.
