After Meta, Amazon, Twitter, and Salesforce, Googleโs parent company Alphabet Inc. is reportedly gearing up to fire about 10,000 โpoor performingโ employees, or 6% of its workforce.
Google will use a ranking system and the lowest-ranked employees are expected to be fired from the company.
Under this new performance management system, managers have been asked to categorize 6% of employees, or roughly 10,000 people, as low performers in terms of their impact on the business.
This new system also reportedly reduces the percentage of employees who can score a high rating.
