● SDG India Index and Dashboard has been developed by NITI Aayog in collaboration with the Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation (MoSPI), Global Green Growth Institute and the United Nations.

● The index indicates where the country and its States and UTs currently are on SDG implementation. It also charts the distance to be travelled to reach the SDG targets.

● The 2019 Index covers 16 out of 17 SDGs and a qualitative assessment on Goal 17

WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (FCTC)

● Objective: To provide a framework for supply and demand reduction measures for tobacco control at the national, regional and global levels.

● India is a signatory.

MPOWER: It is a package of selected demand reduction measures put forward by WHO.

● Monitor tobacco use and prevention policies
● Protect people from tobacco smoke
● Offer help to quit tobacco use
● Warn about the dangers of tobacco
● Enforce bans on tobacco advisement, promotion and sponsorships

Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C)
- It was approved in 2018 to combat cybercrime in India in a comprehensive and coordinated manner.
- It functions under the Ministry of Home Affairs. It is located in New Delhi
- It has seven components such as the National Cybercrime Threat Analytics Unit, National Cybercrime Reporting Portal and National Cybercrime Forensic Laboratory Ecosystem etc.

The Ministry of Minority Affairs implementation of a scheme “ NaiRoshni” for Leadership Development of Minority Women
The scheme aims to empower and instil confidence among minority women by providing knowledge, tools and techniques for interacting with Government systems, Banks and other institutions at all levels.
The scheme is implemented through Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs).

NaiManzil

NaiManzil is a new initiative of the MINISTRY OF MINORITY

The Scheme aims to benefit the minority youths who do not have a formal school leaving certificate, i.e those in the category of school- dropouts or educated in community education institutions like Madarsas, in order to provide them formal education and skills, and enable them to seek better employment and livelihoods in the organised sector

of Startup Ranking framework for 2019.

ICEDASH is an Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) monitoring dashboard of the Indian Customs helping public see the daily Customs clearance times of import cargo at various ports and airports.

With ICEDASH, Indian Customs has taken a lead globally to provide an effective tool that helps the businesses compare clearance times across ports and plan their logistics accordingly. This dashboard has been developed by CBIC in collaboration with NIC. ICEDASH can be accessed through the CBIC website.

Tribunals

• A tribunal is a quasi-judicial body established in India by an Act of Parliament or State Legislature under Article 323A or 323B to resolve disputes that are brought before it.

• Articles 323-A and 323-B were inserted through the 42nd Amendment Act of 1976 on recommendation of Swaran Singh Committee.

- Article 323A deals with administrative tribunals.
- Article 323B deals with tribunals for other matters.

• They do not have to follow any uniform procedure as laid down under the Civil Procedure Code and the Indian Evidence Act but they have to follow the principles of Natural Justice.

Central Bureau of Narcotics

-The Central Bureau of Narcotics (CBN) headed by the Narcotics Commissioner is headquartered at Gwalior.
-The administrative control of the department lies with CBEC while its operational functions are monitored by the Department of Revenue, the nodal Department entrusted with the task of policy
decisions over control over narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and precursor and essential chemicals used in the manufacture of the NDPS.


Narcotics Control Bureau

- Constituted in 1986 under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.
- It is the apex coordinating agency under the Ministry of Home Affairs.
- The National Policy on Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances is based on Article 47 of the Indian Constitution - prohibition of the consumption, except for medicinal purposes, of intoxicating drugs injurious to health.
- Drug abuse control is the responsibility of the central government.
