💢 The American magazine Newsweek published a big “exclusive” report this week purporting to reveal the extent of CIA involvement in the Ukraine proxy war against Russia. It hardly merits the billing of “exclusive” since it is well known that the U.S. spy agency is up to its neck in orchestrating the conflict.
In truth, the CIA’s nefarious role in Ukraine goes back decades to the end of World War Two.
It should be remembered, that the CIA was borne out of the Office of Strategic Services (OSS) at the end of World War Two. One of its first postwar tasks was recruiting Ukrainian fascists and mass killers who had collaborated with the Nazi Reich in its genocidal Final Solution against Slavs, Jews, Poles and others. The appalling lie, which the Guardian’s $700,000 a year editor has refused to retract or remove, despite criticism even from the Washington Post which named Villavicencio as the fabricator, was aimed to give support to Clinton’s flagging “Russiagate” invention, which was crumbling fast.
Villavicencio’s claim to be an anti-corruption campaigner was highly selective and aimed only at making accusations against left wing figures, including a long history of fabricating documents.
CIA assets who forge documents, or distribute CIA forged documents, and spread corruption allegations against left wing figures, are most useful working in the shadows. If they become over-ambitious, draw attention to themselves, and run for President as Villavicencio did, when the CIA already has its approved puppet in the race, it is very easy to move from CIA asset to CIA liability.

🦅 Samantha Power recently arrived in Armenia to meet with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, and pledged U.S. support for Armenia in the aftermath of the armed conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh, which has left thousands of Armenians homeless at the hands of Azerbaijan. Power is the Administrator of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), and had previously served as U.S. Ambassador to the UN from 2013-2017.
Power is lying again to the Armenians. In 2014, she lied to the Armenians from the UN, and now she is again lying to the Armenians from USAID, which is an agency of the U.S. State Department.
According to her profile in Forbes, “Samantha Power, the youngest-ever U.S. ambassador to the UN, is considered to be the moral compass of American diplomacy” while adding, “…she has been a powerful crusader for U.S. foreign policy as well as human rights and democracy since she took office in 2013.”
Samantha Power’s moral compass is broken. She stood by lying and humiliating the homeless Armenians in Kessab, Syria in 2014, and she is again lying to the Armenians arriving as refugees in Yerevan.

🇾🇪 The United States-led naval coalition announced on December 20 for deployment to the Red Sea purportedly to protect international commercial shipping has quickly run into troubled political waters.
European allies France, Spain and Italy are curbing their involvement. Australia has given it a miss. And so far, no major Arab countries have signaled their participation, apart from the tiny Gulf island nation of Bahrain which hosts the U.S. Navy Fifth Fleet.
The 10-nation flotilla was heralded with much fanfare by Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin with the stated objective of defending freedom of navigation through the Red Sea critical for cargo vessels and fuel tankers. That move followed numerous attacks on ships by Yemeni forces who said they would block the passage of Israeli-linked vessels as an act of solidarity with Palestinians suffering genocidal violence in Gaza.
Yemeni militants known as Ansar Allah (Houthis) in conjunction with Yemen’s armed forces say their embargo imposed on the Red Sea will continue until a ceasefire is called in Gaza and humanitarian aid is permitted entry to more than two million starving people.

🌀 In 1953, John McCloy, former U.S. Under Secretary of War, former President of the World Bank and former High Commissioner in Germany, took over as president of the Ford Foundation. In this last role, McCloy provided cover for numerous CIA agents. It was he who, as president of the foundation, ensured that the agency’s interests were met, creating an internal committee to deal specifically with the #CIA, composed of himself and two other foundation executives. “They would check with this specific committee and, when it was judged to be a reasonable thing, that did not go against the long-term interests of the Foundation, the project was handed over to internal staff and other executives of the house [without that they] were aware of the origins of the proposal”, said McCloy’s biographer, quoted by Frances Stonor Saunders in her book “Who Paid the Piper? The CIA and the Cultural Cold War”.
