On the #Lysychansk direction, clashes continue near the village of #Spornoye, where the AFU are trying to break the Russian defence and reach the towns of the #Severodonetsk agglomeration.

The video, complete 4:30 min version here 👉 "Battle for Donbass at #Spornoye", shows the work of artillerymen of the 4th LPR Brigade. The UAV detected an enemy BMP carrying reinforcements to a position in the ruins of a gas station. After arriving at its destination, the UAV struck the target.

Regular fire attacks by the Russian Armed Forces prevent the AFU from rotating and hinder supply, which reduces the combat effectiveness of Ukrainian formations near #Spornoye.

#Kursk Region:

▪️ Ukrainian militants shelled the border village of #Guevo in #Kursk region, damaging residential buildings, a grocery shop and power lines. Five civilians, including three children, were injured.

#Lugansk People's Republic:

▪️ Ukrainian militants hit a service station in #Severodonetsk and residential buildings in #Svatovo with HIMARS MLRS.

#Poltava Region:

▪️ Russian Geran-2 kamikaze drones hit the warehouses of Novaya Pochta on the southern outskirts of #Poltava, allegedly containing military cargo. A large fire broke out at the facility.

#Starobelsk Direction:

▪️ In the #Kupyansk area, AFU units tried to storm Russian positions near the village of #Yagodnoye. They managed to gain a foothold on the outskirts of the settlement, but Russian forces counterattacked, throwing the enemies back to their initial positions.

▪️ In the #Lyman sector, AFU formations, supported by eight equipment units, tried to advance from a bridgehead near #Yampolovka towards #Kremennaya. Russian forces spotted the enemy's concentration and launched a preemptive strike, disrupting the Ukrainian attack.

#Donetsk Direction (MAP):

▪️ With the redeployment of AFU reinforcements to the combat zone, the pace of the Russian forces' advance has slowed. Soldiers of the Eastern Military District Marine Corps and DPR OBTF fighters are trying to finally drive the enemy out of the northern outskirts of #Pavlovka.

▪️ Fighting continues near #Novomikhailovka. Russian fighters are entrenched in positions taken in previous days and are repelling counterattacks by Ukrainian formations.

▪️ In the morning, Ukrainian militants shelled Donetsk, killing two women. They also hit #Yelenovka, #Makeevka and #Gorlovka.

#Zaporozhye Direction:

▪️ There are artillery duels along the frontline. Russian forces shelled enemy positions in #Orekhov, #Gulyaypole and Malaya Tokmachka. They also hit targets in #Nikopol and #Chervonogrigorovka, from where Ukrainian militants are shelling #Energodar and the #Zaporozhye NPP.

#Nikolaev - #Berislav Direction on Southern Front:

▪️ Ukrainian militants fired 18 HIMARS MLRS missiles at the #Kherson ferry crossing. 12 were intercepted by air defences, the rest fell into the water near the Antonovsky bridge.

▪️ Late in the evening, Ukrainian militants shelled the #Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant once again. A large fire broke out in the area of the facility, while the hydraulic structures sustained no damage.

▪️ At night, Russian kamikaze drones Geran-2 hit targets in northern Krivoy Rog. After the strike, the city experienced power outages.

From #Bakhmut there are more and more videos of defensive structures being erected in the built up area. We have watched some of the videos and geolocated the objects caught in the frame, as well as the locations of Ukrainian formations:

➖ Near the square by the House of Culture at the intersection of Mira Street and Vasyl Pershyn Street, anti-tank hedgehogs have been installed. A few days ago, machinery was also standing nearby, placed specifically close to the houses to avoid direct hits from shells.

➖ Nearby, on nearby Independence Street, engineers are digging trenches right on the pavements for firing squads:

➖ From the southwestern part of the city the artillery of the AFU is working. One of the positions is located on Student Street near the building of the unfinished Islamic Centre.

These are just isolated examples: the actual number of firing points, long-term equipped shelters and anti-tank barriers in the city is far greater.

However, even these clearly show that the Ukrainian formations are not planning to simply leave #Bakhmut. Contrary to the occasional reports that the AFU are allegedly withdrawing from the town, they are only preparing it for defence.

🩸The Ukrainian militants will leave the town only if they are threatened with encirclement. Otherwise it will be stormed with fighting in the built-up areas and heavy destruction, as in #Popasna, #Severodonetsk and #Mariupol.

1. From the beginning of the SMO to the withdrawal from #Kiev;
2. Late March - early May - completion of Battle for #Mariupol;
3. May-July - Liberation of the LPR;
4. August - September - AFU counteroffensive. Loss of #Izyum, successful defensive operation on the Right Bank bridgehead;
5. October - December - final formation of a position front, withdrawal from #Kherson.

🔹Which victory on the front do you consider most significant?

- The defeat of the enemy in the #Severodonetsk - #Lysychansk agglomeration, which made it possible to liberate the territory of the LPR. Next in importance is the encirclement and defeat of the #Mariupol grouping of the AFU. In both battles, the enemy sustained heavy losses in manpower and equipment, losing major cities and leaving large areas behind.
In addition, the victory at #Mariupol allowed #Russia to pierce a land corridor to #Crimea and make the Sea of Azov an inland Russian sea.

Defeat at #Balakleya

🔹A similar question, but with a minus sign. Which setback made the most painful impression on you?

Defeat at #Balakleya, which resulted in the forced withdrawal from #Izyum, and the subsequent loss of Kupyansk and Krasny #Liman. This blow was warned about, but no proper measures were taken, due to which the loss of territory and considerable materiel was allowed to occur. Militarily, this is our most significant defeat in 2022.

Syriaization awaits #Ukraine

🔹Now, 10 months after the start of the SMO, can we say that we have not been sufficiently prepared for the level of military conflict that is taking place in #Ukraine?

- As events on the front line have shown, no one was fully prepared for the type of war that has started in #Ukraine. Including #Russia, which had to adapt to the type of war it had not prepared for. As pointed out back in March, the war will follow a Syrianization path, which implies extended fronts and an indefinite duration of the war with its maximum internationalisation. The problems of the Russian Federation were mainly objective in nature, which was further exacerbated by various unforced errors of an organisational and managerial nature, some of which had already been officially acknowledged in the autumn.

The success of Wagner is natural

🔹One of the main heroes of the SMO were the fighters of the Wagner PMC, which has proved to be excellent in combat operations. Was it expected, given the involvement of PMCs in the Syrian war, or it still came as some kind of surprise?

- Since we`ve been following the operations of Wagner PMCs in #Syria, #Libya and #Africa, there are no surprises about its successes. Qualitative assault work of Wagner could be observed in #Syria (for example, during the storming of #Palmyra and #Akerbat) or in #Libya during the fighting for #Tripoli. Of course, for those who have not tracked the work of Wagner in remote theater, the PMCs' success was somewhat surprising. The main outcome of this participation is the fact that PMCs have received full legalization in Russia, even in the absence of the law regulating the activities of PMCs. Not de jure, but de facto.

🔹 1. The Situation for the Enemy in the city has deteriorated overnight. There are results of fire control over the roads.

🔹 2. Despite Reports of Withdrawal of some units, the enemy does not abandon attempts to hold the defences in the western and part of the central parts of the city.
➖ There is a political objective to hold #Bakhmut at all costs, which is being met by hard defences within the city limits and attempts to hold the townships of #Krasnoye, #Khromovo and #Bogdanov, despite pressure from Wagner assault squads near #Bogdanov and #Krasnoye.
➖ There is pressure from the West to abandon #Bakhmut, but Kiev has become hostage to its propaganda campaign to hold the town.

🔹 3. There is a Redeployment of reserves to hold the city, which were intended for the #Kupyansk, Krasny #Liman and #Zaporozhye directions. They are insurance in case Wagner breaks through AFU defences near #Khromovo and closes the cauldron. Then the reserves will be used for counterstrikes near #Berkhovka, #Yagodnoye and #Khromovo.

🔹 4. Part of the Reserves have already been deployed for counterstrikes in the direction of #Kleshchiyevka and #Krasnoye. Their task is to push back our troops from the road to #Bakhmut via #Krasnoye and formally continue supplying the defending forces in the city, bringing in at least something at night despite shelling.
➖ The road is now virtually inaccessible. Attempts by AFU counterattacks to deblock it have failed due to the good work of our attackers, spotters and Wagner artillery, which have dampened the enemy's efforts.

🔹 5. Prigozhin Stressed that the shell conflict with the Ministry of Defence is still unresolved. Hardware friction should affect the pace of the operation in #Artyomovsk.
➖ Defence Minister Shoigu said today that the enemy lost 11,000 men in #Artyomovsk in February.
➖ Prigozhin noted that the enemy has 12-20 thousand people in #Artyomovsk (the city, #Krasnoye, #Khromovo, and Chasov Yar).
➖ Part of the enemy reserves are concentrated near Chasov Yar. They intend to use operational reserves near #Konstantinovka and #Kramatorsk in case the crisis becomes operational.

🔹 6. In the Middle and Third Week of March they will have the question of a final withdrawal from the city or a road deblocking.
➖ The AFU in #Artyomovsk has a certain stockpile of arms and ammunition, including heavy weapons, but with the roads cut off and the intensity of fighting like this, the stockpile will be used up very quickly. The situation in #Severodonetsk and #Mariupol will repeat itself, when the enemy defended in the presence of heavy weapons, but after the ammunition for tanks, "Grads" ran out, it became much harder for them and much easier for us.
📌 Therefore, supply issues play a crucial role in predicting the pace of the liberation of the city.

#Belogorovka has been a notorious settlement since last May, when units of the Central Military District attempted to take it by storm by forcing the Northern Donets. Under enemy fire, the crossing was destroyed and several dozen pieces of equipment were abandoned.

Ultimately, #Belogorovka fell after the capture of the #Lisichansk - #Severodonetsk agglomeration. But after retreating from #Kharkov region, the RF Armed Forces were forced to retreat from occupied settlements in the #Lugansk People's Republic.

#Belogorovka ended up in enemy hands. The settlement was repeatedly attempted to be taken by storm, but because of the quarry it was difficult to approach it.

▪️ Yesterday, the units of the RF Armed Forces led by "Akhmat-North" wedged in in the enemy's defense near the compressor station in the industrial zone to the southeast of the settlement. Having managed to clear the buildings, the units took up defense.

▪️ Having shelled the RF Armed Forces' positions with artillery, the enemy threw assault units at them and managed to clamp the RF Armed Forces in a pincer.

▪️ By the middle of today, the RF Armed Forces managed to unblock the encircled units and thin out the enemy's defensive formations. After the rotation, the Russian units continued the positional struggle, gaining a foothold to the east of the quarry.
