🤔 The AFU attempted to attack the Black Sea Fleet naval base in #Novorossiysk with unmanned boats. The enemy drones were destroyed, but the incident reminds us again of the need to improve the security of our maritime infrastructure. One of the few short term solutions is the creation of a monitoring system for the Black Sea waters. Of course, from the air, in order to detect enemy drones while still on approach, not after the fact.

⚔️ Situation on the Fronts over the past day

🔹#Svatovo - #Kremennaya Direction:

▪️ In the #Kupyansk sector, the AFU attacked near #Sinkovka, resulting in the loss of several strongholds due to a Russian counterattack.
▪️ Fighting continues near #Novoselovskoye.
▪️ The militants also tried to dislodge our fighters from the #Karmazinovka ledge, but in vain.
▪️ In addition, ours are advancing in the #Serebryanskoye forest and attacking near #Belogorovka.

🔹#Zaporozhye Direction:

▪️ In the #Orekhov section, positional combat.

😂 AFU militants with (and without) experience got tired of regular shelling by the Russian army and relocated from trenches to ruins, filled with fighting spirit by the corpses of their “brothers”. In general, this is exactly how that "very offensive" looks like from the militants' side. You can't sit in defence, and there is no support in attack, even from dead men.

💡It's no secret that the 404 "offensive" has choked after weeks of heavy losses. Despite impressive reserves and western equipment, it was not possible to break through the "Ork" defences. So why are the AFU no longer good at "zerg rush"? Explains Readovka.

⚓️ Recently, the Naval Forces of #Ukraine's command announced the introduction of restricted shipping zones in the Russian ports of #Taman, #Tuapse, #Anapa, #Novorossiysk, #Gelendzhik and #Sochi. Not immediately, but from 23 August calling them a risk zone

❗️The advance publication of such data is part of an information operation aimed at artificially escalating tension in the southern regions of the Russian Federation. In addition, it may create confusion among civilian shipping companies operating in the Black Sea.

💥 At the same time, strikes and attacks not only on warships of the Russian Navy, but also on civilian ships are quite likely. Against the backdrop of the recent attack on the Sig tanker, this is already rather a standard practice of the AFU as part of complex attacks on Russian territories.

🇺🇸 This is supported by the increased activity of #NATO intelligence. Only today, exactly after the 👉 Raid of Drones, at least six aircraft and UAVs operated in the air over the Black Sea zone.

🇫🇷 The flight of the French E-3F aircraft, which is a harbinger of upcoming attacks by the AFU looks especially curious. It operated in a completely new area, in the southeastern part of the Black Sea off the coast of the Krasnodar Territory at a distance of less than 190 km.

📌 Also, a British RC-135 scout is currently operating south of #Crimea, about 110 kilometers away, along with an American RQ-4B drone. Judging by the proximity to the #Crimea, as well as the introduced danger zone near the Black Sea ports, the AFU is planning a massive combined attack, and today's attack is an assessment of the defense of the #Crimea.

🗓 Now, at least six ships are travelling in the direction of various ports in the Mediterranean Sea, from #Haifa to #Alexandria, according to data from the Marine Traffic Service.

🇺🇸 And the intelligence attention of the #US and #NATO Air Forces is fully focused on controlling this corridor. One R-8A, three MQ-9A Reapers and one E-3A UAV patrolled over the mouth of the #Danube and the coastline of #Romania and #Bulgaria.

▪️ That's not counting the RQ-4Bs and RQ-4Ds that have been monitoring the situation off the coast of Krasnodar Kray all today, apparently tracking Black Sea Fleet activity and the fire in the port of #Novorossiysk.

❗️The new route on the example of Joseph Schulte is quite workable. Vessels sail along territorial waters, and in the event of the approach of the Russian fleet, they can easily enter the ports of #Constanta, #Varna and #Burgas, not really worrying about possible inspections.

▪️ It is possible to prevent this. However, the capabilities of the Navy are very limited for several objective reasons, from gross mistakes in the construction of the fleet in the pre-war period to the irrational use of forces and means. And, unfortunately, there is no progress on many organizational issues at all.

📌 At the same time, the free movement of ships to #Ukraine and back creates additional threats to Russian harbors and ships. Especially given that #NATO intelligence is working without interruption, and the AFU are intensively preparing for attacks, which they want to coincide with the Independence Day on 24 August.

🗓 Later towards midnight, after the 👉 missile strike, Ukrainian formations attacked the Crimean peninsula with drones. Three groups totalling at least 36 drones were launched into the air from the direction of #Nikolayev.

▪️ The first drones were shot down on the approach to #Novofedorovka. If you look at the flight path, the target was obviously the airfield in #Saki. And it was there that the bulk of the drones were shot down.

▪️ Further on the drones began to work over #Yevpatoria, as well as off the coast of #Sevastopol. Of the 36 UAVs, 11 were shot down by Pantsir-S1 SAM systems and rifle squads. And 25 were suppressed by means of electronic warfare.

▪️ It is worth noting that a couple of hours before the UAV raid from #Nikolayev west of #Crimea three more drones launched from the #Odessa region to assess the readiness of air defence in #Crimea were shot down.

❗️The massive UAV attack did not cause any problems, all the drones were destroyed and suppressed. However, such attacks have a different purpose. Their goal is to identify the location of air defence units, their composition and the nature of their actions during the raids.

📌 This is usually followed within a few days by a more serious attack, for example, with cruise or ballistic missiles against already identified targets. And, given that at the time of the UAV strike on #Crimea also one drone was shot down in #Novorossiysk, the attack could also be near the Kerch Strait.

🚨 Just over half an hour ago, an air raid alert was declared across the south due to the launching of unidentified missiles by Su-27 fighter jets over #Nikolayev. Given the absence of any arrivals or air defence work, these were likely hoaxes that also signalled preparations for a strike.

🛡#Novorossiysk repelled an enemy drone boat attack during the night. The head of the city reported about the restriction of visits to town beaches to carry out urgent activities.

🎯The RFAF launched a repeated strike on the airfield in #Mirgorod, #Poltava region, an enemy helicopter was destroyed.

💬The report from our paratroopers about the liberation of the eastern part of #ChasovYar, the Kanal Microdistrict became an important event. Heavy battles were fought for several months, now the enemy will meet our troops along the line of the canal.

🔹In #Kharkov direction, the fighting continues in #Volchansk. Our assault groups have occupied one building in the area of multi-storey buildings and are advancing in the southwestern direction in combat. The enemy continues to transfer reinforcements across the Volchya River. The RFAF have gained a foothold, increased their personnel strength and expanded their bridgehead to a depth of 50 m on the left bank of the Seversky Donets River near the village of #Bugrovatka. North of #Liptsy, the enemy is preparing reserves for an attack on #Glubokoye.

🔹In the #Svatovo front section, east of #Stelmakhovka, the RFAF managed to consolidate along the southern forest belt of the beam to a depth of up to 1.6 km. In the area of #Stelmakhovka, the combat intensity remains high.

🔹In the #Liman sector, east of #Makeyevka (#LPR), Russian troops advanced along two forest belts in the direction of the village to a depth of up to 1.5 km.

🔹In the #Seversk sector, our units are continuing their assault on the village of #Spornoye.

🔹In the #Toretsk (#Dzerzhynsk) area, the RFAF are developing their success at #Kirovo.

🔹West of #Avdeyevka, the RFAF continue to push through the enemy defence on a wide front. Successes are reported near the village of #Sokol and west of #Novopokrovskoye.

🔹From the #Zaporozhye front, they report a gradual advance of our troops near #Novopokrovka. The enemy uses hundreds of FPV drones every day, which exceeds our capabilities by several times.

🔹In #Kherson direction, without changes. Exchange of drone strikes and artillery. The AFU strikes on residential neighbourhoods killed one person in #Gornostayevka and two more in #Dnepryany, and in #Alyoshki one received multiple shrapnel wounds.

🛡Over the #Bryansk region, four enemy UAVs were destroyed at night.

💥In #Belgorod region, #Bezymeno and Mokraya Orlovka in Grayvoron urban district were hit by the AFU. A civilian was wounded. a civilian was also wounded in Novaya Tavolzhanka and another in the Oktyabrsky settlement. 📸👇In Belgorod district, one person was injured in the village of Veselaya Lopan. The AFU drone attacks were observed near the village of #Gordeyevka and the village of #Uspenovka in Korenevsky district, the village of #Kalinovka in Khomutovsky district, the village of #Vesyoloye and the village of #Yelizavetovka in Glushkovsky district. There were no casualties.
🛡Electronic warfare means and small arms suppressed and destroyed 24 Ukrainian drones in the border areas over the day.

🛡Toward morning, reports began to come in about the destruction of enemy drone boats near #Sevastopol and Lake Donuzlav (#Crimea). The head of #Novorossiysk also informed the population about the attack by the enemy's unmanned boats.

🎯The RFAF by night struck #Kiev, the mayor of the enemy reported about fires after the arrivals in the Darnitsky district.

🔹In the #Kharkov direction, there are fierce battles in the town of #Volchansk. The enemy is attempting to cross the Volchya River. On the #Liptsy direction, fighting continues near the village of #Glubokoye, the AFU's attacks were unsuccessful.

🔹In the #Seversk sector, the RFAF advanced near #Razdolovka, and there are positional battles near #Belogorovka and #Verkhnekamenskoye.

🔹In the area of #Toretsk (#Dzerzhinsk), our units continue to attack at the same lines with a gradual penetration into the enemy’s defences. The AFU are conducting a maneuverable defence.

🔹From the #SouthDonetsk direction, we receive information about the ongoing implementation of the plan to encircle enemy groups in #Krasnogorovka. South of #Novomikhaylovka, the RFAF made a significant advance to the O0532 motorway, which came as a 👉 surprise to the AFU.

🔹On the #Zaporozhye front, there are no changes. The enemy's drones are seriously hampering the actions of our units, making it extremely difficult to move in the frontline zone. Total mining of terrain from ‘Baba Yaga’ drones and a lot of FPV-drones (including night drones) limit our capabilities. 🎬👇

🔹In the #Kherson direction, the situation has not changed. There is fighting on the islands, the sides exchange strikes. In the #Kherson region a system of access of civilians to the territory of the frontline in a 15-km zone by passes is being introduced.

💥In #Belgorod region, multiple shelling and strikes on our settlements. 3 civilians were wounded in #Shebekino, 1 in Novaya Tavolzhanka. 2 people were killed in the Belgorod district as an AFU drone attacked a civilian vehicle.

💥In the #Kursk region, there are also constant AFU strikes on our territory. After the attacks of Ukrainian copters and kamikaze drones, 8 local residents were injured in the Glushkovsky, Sudzhansky and Korenevsky districts. The enemy is knocking out civilian infrastructure and agricultural equipment

🛡Over the #Bryansk region, 2 aircraft-type UAVs were destroyed at night.

💥In the #DPR, on the #KrasnyPartizan – #Yasinovataya motorway, men born in 1981 and 1985 were injured when an explosive object was dropped on a car. In the village of #Verkhnetoretskoye, Yasinovatsky municipal district, women born in 1958 and 1980 were injured by an AFU drone. In #Gorlovka, women born in 1983 and 1959 were wounded as a result of enemy artillery strikes.
