🩸There is a lot of interesting Stuff in it:

🔹1. #Bakhmut's Strategic Role is not that great. #Bakhmut is followed by #Seversk, #Slavyansk, #Kramatorsk, #Konstantinovka, #Druzhkovka and Chasov Yar. The settlements that make up the socalled "Donbass Ring" and form a fortified area. On the one hand, #Bakhmut is part of this fortification; on the other hand, the capture of #Bakhmut itself will not ensure a quick victory over #Ukraine, a road to the #Dnieper or even the capture of #Donbass.

🔹2. The Ukrainian Army has amassed a sufficient number of forces. Around 200,000 already sufficiently trained fighters, who have undergone two to three months of training and harmonisation, are ready to carry out combat tasks.
➖ The number of weapons and ammunition is sufficient for these 200 thousand to go on the offensive in different directions. The troops, ready for the counteroffensive, are in the areas of concentration - they have everything they need.
➖ In those tank wedges, which they try to hammer into the defense of PMC Wagner by dozens every day, the AFU loses from 30 to 50 pieces of equipment every day, and they have no problems with it. And as for people, they have, as they say at the front, no limit.

🔹3. Every Scream at #Bakhmut, every captured soldier, every hundred killed hits Zelensky and the AFU leadership much harder than the pluses they get from holding the remnants of that city.
📌 That said, the prolonged battle for #Bakhmut is extremely beneficial to Russian forces, as they have already snatched a large chunk of Ukrainian territory in 2022. If the special operation remains within these borders, give or take a couple of tens of kilometres, it will solve many of the problems of the SMO.
#Bakhmut gives the Russian army an opportunity to accumulate forces, occupy advantageous defensive lines, deal with internal problems, prepare the mobilized and meet any number of counteroffensive insurgents in full armor. #Bakhmut is extremely advantageous for us, we grind down the Ukrainian army there and hold back their manoeuvres.

🔹4. #Russia's Collapse cannot happen militarily. Forests, swamps, vast territories, climatic specifics reliably protect the country's territory, making it a huge fortification. Always in history, the enemy who reached #Moscow eventually fled in disgrace, turning the "Road of Victory" into the "Road of Death" on the way back.
➖ Why are the Anglo-Saxons holding back Zelensky by staging internal conflicts and stalling the offensive? Precisely in order to siphon off the main prize - the break-up of #Russia into a multitude of principalities. The #US doesn't need a quick war. They need a war that will lead to the overthrow of the " Deep State " and its victory.

🔹5. The Ukrainians are ready to go on the offensive. We are ready to repel the blow. The best scenario for #Russia to heal in order to unite and become the Strongest State is an offensive by the AFU, in which no handouts or negotiations will be possible. And either the AFU will be defeated in a fair fight, or #Russia will lick its wounds, build up its muscles and tear its rivals apart again in a fair fight.
📌 So I think the Option of negotiating is impossible for #Russia's future.

🗓 On 20 and 21 April, reports emerged that Wagner PMC fighters, with fire support by the airborne troops, had approached the O-0506 route between #Bakhmut and Chasov Yar. After this, the position of the AFU in #Bakhmut could deteriorate considerably.

🔹What is this Route and why is it so important?

Route O-0506 connected the western stronghold of the AFU in Chasovy Yar directly to the city. It passes through the village of #Khromovo and was used by the AFU directly from Chasov Yar to the western neighbourhoods of #Bakhmut. Prior to the advancement of the Wagner PMCs inside the city blocks, #Bakhmut could also be reached by another route - via the southwestern route T-0504, bypassing #Krasnoye.

Route O-0506 was the last relatively safe road through which supplies and reinforcements could be brought in and the wounded transported out.

🔹What is happening in #Bakhmut now:

As the "Bandwagon" advanced deeper into #Bakhmut, fire control over the AFU supply routes intensified, with the result that Ukrainian forces began to lose up to 90% of the equipment and people sent to #Bakhmut not only from Chasov Yar, but also from #Konstantinovka, #Druzhkovka, and #Toretsk.

At the moment, the AFU retains control of no more than 10% of the city: Ukrainian troops are in the Novy and Cherema neighbourhoods, School No. 18 and defending from Chernyakhovsky Street in #Khromovo. "Orchestra" crushes the enemy from the north in the area of Metallurgov Boulevard and Roz Alley, in parallel - on the AFU units that are trying to leave the city in small groups in one or two vehicles. FAB-120/250 bombs with planning and correction modules (MPCMs) as well as Krasnopol guided artillery rounds are actively used against targets both in the immediate vicinity of #Artyomovsk and deep in the AFU defence - #Konstantinovka, #Druzhkovka and Chasov Yar. This further complicates and slows down the supply of the group, which cannot hold out without help.

🔹What options do the AFU have?

The first option is to throw reinforcements into the city and either continue defending or cover the retreat. According to preliminary estimates, the AFU's total losses in killed, wounded, missing and prisoners of war both in and around #Bakhmut, including reinforcements destroyed almost every day, are as high as 650-730 per day.

To hold the city, the AFU is preparing to send the 93rd Mechanized Brigade and the reserve 117th Territorial Defense Brigade, prepared for a counterattack, to #Bakhmut. In the western quarters of the city, these troops should reinforce units of the AFU's 92nd Mechanized, whose losses are estimated at 65%.

The second option is to retreat on asphalt roads. Most roads between #Bakhmut and neighbouring towns are not only shelled by artillery "banding" and airborne troops, but also severely damaged. Some bridges and crossings cannot be crossed by heavy equipment. This means that on the other side retreating AFU units have to transfer to another vehicle. It is practically impossible to do this safely.

The third option is to retreat through the fields:

It rained almost all last week in #Bakhmut, and rain will continue to fall next week. This will make the fields impassable again. Even tanks, not to mention pickup trucks and other vehicles, will find it difficult to get through them quickly in such conditions. Any AFU equipment that gets stuck will almost instantly come under artillery fire and be disabled, and after that the Ukrainian military will have to overcome the five-kilometre stretch between Chasov Yar and #Bakhmut on foot.

The fourth option is a diversionary flank counterattack:

If the AFU command feels that control over #Bakhmut is finally being lost, 80,000-strong reserves from Ray-Aleksandrovka, #Konstantinovka, #Predtechino, #Nikolayevka and #Dzerzhinsk will probably be brought into the fight.

🔹1. City:

The slow advance of the Wagner PMC to the western outskirts continues. The highrise area is subjected to an intensifying fire attack.

Problems on communications and the shrinking area of the blocks held by the AFU lead to an increase in Ukrainian casualties, which amount to 400-500 per day, as confirmed by Western sources, who indicate that fresh additions to the AFU in the city have an average time to wounding or death of 4 hours.

Simultaneously with the fierce fighting in the city, equally fierce fighting continues near the highway to the west of #Khromovo, where the enemy is trying with all its might to push the Wagner PMC away from the plantations adjacent to the highway, on which Wagner seeks to pass over the highway and physically cut it off.

The story of the shortage of ammunition at the Wagner PMC continues. The company's management claims that ammunition is not given enough. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation declares that enough ammunition is being produced now, and the RAV service states that for the most part Wagner closes applications, with which Wagner does not agree. According to Prigozhin's statement, the losses of PMCs in #Artyomovsk amount to 80-90 people per day.

🔹2. Settlements:

The main settlements, on which the AFU is relying to hold the neck of the #Artyomovsk operational sack, are still controlled by the enemy.

Judging by the current dynamics, there will no longer be a full-fledged cauldron here, as #Krasnoye and #Khromovo will soon be stormed from the east as the enemy is forced out of #Artyomovsk, where it still holds about 2.5 sq. km of territory. They will be clinging to them until at least May 9.

🔹3. Enemy Counterattacks:

The weather is not quite suitable for active action yet, but in a week's time we can well expect more serious attempts at attacks by the AFU from Chasov Yar, Ray-Aleksandrovka and #Seversk to stop the activity of our forces to the northwest of #Artyomovsk, especially in the #Kramatorsk direction.

The accumulation of enemy forces in these areas continues to be recorded, leading, among other things, to intensified strikes against the #Slavyansk-#Kramatorsk agglomeration. Chasov Yar, #Kramatorsk, #Konstantinovka, #Slavyansk, #Druzhkovka, etc. are subjected to missile and bomb strikes, as well as Kamikaze UAV raids.

📌 The Liberation of #Artyomovsk (#Bakhmut) is nearing completion. The situation is complicated by the fact that the AFU is being pushed more tightly against the wall every day and in such conditions it is necessary to plan assault actions even more carefully.

🔹 What's going on inside the City?

In the urban development of #Artyomovsk "Wagner" is completing the hacking of the AFU defence in fortified areas. Fortifications "Nest" and "Horse", about which the Military Chronicles told previously, safely cleaned. Also, the cleaning of the "Constructor" is almost completed.

The orchestra's assault units are moving west, to the Domino district (Novy district), and in parallel are cleaning up the private sector on the border with #Khromovo.

Large forces of the AFU cannot hide in destroyed private houses. The Ukrainian infantry hides in small groups of three to five people, and when trying to engage in battle, they are destroyed by tanks or artillery.

According to preliminary data, the "Orchestra" cut off the Domino district from the rest of the fortified areas from Levanevsky Street. At the moment, only the Domino area and garages from the field remain behind the AFU.

🔹 What is the Difficulty of the Assault?

About 25-30 houses of various storeys remained under the control of the enemy. It will not be possible to clean them up quickly: the concentration of the Ukrainian troops remaining there is high, and the AFU command periodically arranges disturbing raids with the use of armored vehicles to distract the "orchestra" from the assault and at the same time try to transfer fresh reinforcements.

🔹 What about the Reserves of the AFU?

A significant part of the Ukrainian reinforcements is still being destroyed on the approach, but some manage to slip into the city. The supply of the AFU Artyomovsk group until recently went through #Krasnoye (#Ivanovskoye), but now it is complicated. Russian aviation, gunners and "Musicians" destroyed one of the most important bridges in #Krasnoye, without which you can only get into the city by bypassing through fields and under 152 mm artillery fire.

The fire of the Russian artillery is gradually shifting not to the city, but to the suburbs: Chasov Yar, #Druzhkovka and #Konstantinovka.

🔹 What about the Flanks in #Artyomovsk?

After a series of attacks on the supports in the area of #Kleshchiyevka and #Berkhovka, the AFU tried to transfer reserves. It is difficult for the Ukrainian troops to move further. The territories occupied earlier 300-400 m are under fire from Russian artillery. It is not possible to collect a lot of equipment and correct the situation. As soon as the movement is fixed, artillery starts working on the AFU. The AFU regularly gets reinforcements that die from mortar and artillery fire.

The situation is almost identical both from the north and from the south. It becomes harder to hold occupied positions than to advance.

Reserves prepared for a counteroffensive are being withdrawn from Chasov Yar and the nearest AFU cities for several days in a row. Reinforcements of the regular army and territorial defence tried several times to storm the positions of the RF Armed Forces on the flanks, but ran into firing lines.

From the Russian side, additional forces, artillery and tanks also pulled up on the flanks.

According to preliminary data, during a week of attempts to occupy the strongholds and several days of their further retention, the losses of the AFU amounted to about 1,300-1,500 people killed and wounded.

▪️ In the #Avdeyevka sector, the assault on the AFU positions in #Stepovoye continues. To the southeast of #Avdeyevka, our forces have advanced in the area of the industrial zone.

💥 Russian Antiaircraft Gunners destroyed two Ukrainian MiG-29s near #Yelizavetovka in the #Nikolayev region and #Druzhkovka in the #DPR. In addition, an enemy Su-25 was shot down near #Dobropolye in the #DPR.

▪️ At the same time, a large batch of ammunition on civilian trucks was sent to #Druzhkovka. Using the legend of humanitarian organisations is a long-standing feature of the AFU. In this way they are trying to protect cargo from Russian attacks.

🔹 On the southern flank, fighting takes place on the heights northwest of #Kleshcheyevka, where Ukrainian formations attempt counterattacks from time to time. But as #Krasnoye's situation worsens, these enemy attacks become more and more faded.
