▪️ Reinforcements from the 206th Battalion of the AFU's 241st Territorial Defence Brigade were transferred from #Volchansk to the vicinity of Kazachya Lopan and #Uda to reinforce the border lines.

At the same time, reinforcements from other parts of the front are expected to move to the line of contact.
🔹In the #Avdeyevka Sector, units of the AFU's 59th Motorized Infantry Brigade are preparing for an offensive north of Avdeyevka against Russian positions near #Krasnogorovka.
Ukrainian formations have been issued with dry rations for several days and refuelling of equipment has been organized. A couple of days ago, the AFU had already attempted to retake the lost territories, but the RF Armed Forces successfully repulsed the attack.
🔹In #Maryinka, fierce position fighting continues. Soldiers of the RF Armed Forces are storming Ukrainian strongholds in the city centre near the church on Druzhba Avenue and on the northern outskirts behind the reservoir. For the time being, the AFU are holding their ground by setting up firing points in houses.

In addition, a battery of M109A6 Paladin self-propelled artillery units (eight SAU units and around 120 men) is scheduled to be deployed to the #Donetsk direction from 8 April. The A6 modifications are equipped with improved armour protection and an automated fire control system.
📌 The Ukrainian Authorities are currently planning to significantly reinforce the grouping of troops in the #Donetsk direction. Given certain successes of the Russian army in #Maryinka and near #Avdeyevka, it is highly likely that the AFU will try to launch a counterattack somewhere near these suburbs of #Donetsk.
The general design of the AFU spring-summer campaign implies an offensive with a broad front in one or two directions, with several stalling in other areas, starting from #Kherson and ending in the #Kharkov region. This will make it possible to identify the least defended positions of the RF Armed Forces and strike there to break through the front.

🗓 Yesterday (17 Apr 2023), Ukrainian formations attempted to storm Russian positions south of #Ugledar. One sabotage group of the AFU's 72nd Mechanized Brigade conducted a reconnaissance battle near a forest belt north of #Nikolskoye.
▪️ Another assault group on light armoured vehicles, up to a platoon in number, from the 3rd Battalion of the AFU's 68th Separate Jager Infantry Brigade attacked the Russian positions near #Pavlovka.
▪️ Prior to this, M777 howitzer crews conducted artillery preparations and reconnaissance UAVs and copters were active in the air, delivered in large numbers to the Donetsk direction as part of separate UAV companies.
📌 Both Enemy Attacks were repelled by the combined efforts of infantry units and army aviation. The forces of the AFU's 68th Separate Jager Infantry Brigade and 72nd Mechanized Brigades withdrew to their initial positions.
Now the situation is stable. The 68th Brigade is being re-staffed near #Novoukrainka. A large number of people and equipment are concentrated in #Bogatyr to the northwest of #Ugledar at the range.
It is currently unclear what kind of unit has arrived in #Bogatyr. The 23rd Mechanized Brigade has recently completed its training in #Novomoskovsk, and the Brigade itself is scheduled to be deployed to either the #Zaporozhye or #Donetsk directions.

🔹 In the vicinity of the #Vremyevka ledge, after several sorties, the AFU have switched to a positional advance. Infantry under the cover of artillery is trying to gain a foothold near the #Grusheva beam.
▪️ For the past few days, artillerymen of the 72nd Mechanized Brigade, transferred to the 36th Brigade, as well as three tanks of the 1st Separate Tank Brigade of the AFU, have been continuously firing from the #Novodovarovka - #Rovnopol line at the forward strongholds of the RFAF south of the beam, in #Priyutnoye and #Staromayorskoye.
▪️ Also, new assault squads of the 35th Brigade of Ukrainian Navy Marines arrived in #Makarovka and #Rovnopol from the rear areas. In addition, AFU radio intercepts say a formation of the 79th Separate Air Assault Brigade has arrived.
📌 The "creeping" offensive tactics chosen by the AFU made it possible to gain a foothold in the frontlines. Despite the huge losses (a unit of the 31st Mechanized Brigade departed from #Berezovoye to #Novomoskovsk for reconstruction), a bridgehead there is needed for further assault on the #Priyutnoye - #Staromayorskoye line.

🔹Russian Troops again launched a combined strike against targets in the territory of the so-called #Ukraine. A series of explosions occurred in #Kiev, #Novomoskovsk, #Pavlograd, #Drohobych and other cities. In #Kharkov, an arrival was recorded at the Malyshev Plant, which is now specialised in the repair of armored vehicles.
🔹In several areas of the #Avdeyevka sector, the offensive continues. In the north, the RF Armed Forces managed to advance to the railway bridge and in the area of the Coke Plant treatment facilities. To the east, positions have been improved in the area of the Air Base and the Yasinovatskaya industrial zone. In the south, there are clashes in the center of #Pervomatskoye.
🔹In the #SouthDonetsk direction, in the area of #Novomikhaylovka, Russian troops are operating on Tsentralnaya Street, and also managed to reach Shevchenko Street, advancing in the eastern half of the village.
🔹In the #Zaporozhye direction, local battles are taking place. Both sides are limited to attacks by small infantry groups. At the same time, Russian servicemen note an increase in the intensity of the use of attack drones by the AFU.
🔹In the #Kherson direction, due to the active work of the Russian Aerospace Forces on the AFU positions in #Krynki, the combat readiness of the Katran Strike Group has noticeably decreased.
