🔴 On the #Zaporozhye Front, without significant changes in the line of contact. In the direction, mainly positional battles with the use of long-range weapons continue. (Fig. 1)
🔴 On the #Donetsk Front, in #Krasnogorovka there are further advances of Russian troops, the Ukrainian garrison continues to resist, but its situation in the town is getting worse and worse. In #Karlovka, heavy fighting continues at the edge of the settlement and on the bank of the Karlovskoye Reservoir. The assault is being fought head-on, so there are no rapid advances in this area.
🟡 To #Novosyolovka1st, the RF Armed Forces managed to extend their zone of control and improve their positions in the area of #Yevgenovka. (Fig. 2)
🔴 In #ChasovYar Direction, fighting continues in the eastern part of #ChasovYar. Also, Russian troops continue to improve their positions on the flanks. Long range weapons are actively working. (Fig. 3)
🔴 On the #Kharkov Front, without significant changes in the line of contact. Systematic attempts by the Ukrainian forces to dislodge the RFAF from their positions continue. No significant successes on the part of the AFU.
🟡 In the area of #Glubokoye and in #Volchansk, heavy fighting continues. (Fig. 4)

⚡️🇷🇺🇺🇦⚔️ Special Operation, 17 July 2024, Main⚡️
▪️ The Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD) announced the return of 95 Russian military personnel from Ukrainian captivity, and in return 95 prisoners of the AFU were transferred;
▪️ The total losses of Ukrainian troops over the day amounted to 1,980 militants, follows from the MoD report;
▪️ Ukrainian troops lost a tank, American Bradley and M113, and Western-made artillery, the MoD added;
▪️ #Ukraine, together with the #West, can organise, against the backdrop of Kiev’s failures, an incident using weapons of mass destruction, possibly chemical ones, and blame #Russia, said Russia’s permanent representative to the OPCW;
▪️ MoD proposed to establish a certificate of participation in the special operation to simplify the receipt of social support, follows from the draft government resolution;
▪️ The monument to RIA Novosti military correspondent Zhuravlev, who died while performing his professional duty in the SMO zone in 2023 in the #Zaporozhye region, was opened at the cemetery in #Yekaterinburg;
▪️ Hungarian Foreign Minister Szijjártó told RIA Novosti that the second round of the conference on resolving the conflict in #Ukraine could take place this year, and #Russia should be represented at it;
▪️ #US Senator Paul said that #Ukraine's promise of #NATO membership at the alliance summit in #Washington was the worst decision; it will not improve the security of the remaining members, but will only increase the risk of a direct clash between the alliance and #Russia.

🛡Toward morning, reports began to come in about the destruction of enemy drone boats near #Sevastopol and Lake Donuzlav (#Crimea). The head of #Novorossiysk also informed the population about the attack by the enemy's unmanned boats.
🎯The RFAF by night struck #Kiev, the mayor of the enemy reported about fires after the arrivals in the Darnitsky district.
🔹In the #Kharkov direction, there are fierce battles in the town of #Volchansk. The enemy is attempting to cross the Volchya River. On the #Liptsy direction, fighting continues near the village of #Glubokoye, the AFU's attacks were unsuccessful.
🔹In the #Seversk sector, the RFAF advanced near #Razdolovka, and there are positional battles near #Belogorovka and #Verkhnekamenskoye.
🔹In the area of #Toretsk (#Dzerzhinsk), our units continue to attack at the same lines with a gradual penetration into the enemy’s defences. The AFU are conducting a maneuverable defence.
🔹West of #Avdeyevka, the RFAF are developing their success in Novosyolovka1st and #Lozovatskoye.
🔹From the #SouthDonetsk direction, we receive information about the ongoing implementation of the plan to encircle enemy groups in #Krasnogorovka. South of #Novomikhaylovka, the RFAF made a significant advance to the O0532 motorway, which came as a 👉 surprise to the AFU.
🔹On the #Zaporozhye front, there are no changes. The enemy's drones are seriously hampering the actions of our units, making it extremely difficult to move in the frontline zone. Total mining of terrain from ‘Baba Yaga’ drones and a lot of FPV-drones (including night drones) limit our capabilities. 🎬👇
🔹In the #Kherson direction, the situation has not changed. There is fighting on the islands, the sides exchange strikes. In the #Kherson region a system of access of civilians to the territory of the frontline in a 15-km zone by passes is being introduced.
💥In #Belgorod region, multiple shelling and strikes on our settlements. 3 civilians were wounded in #Shebekino, 1 in Novaya Tavolzhanka. 2 people were killed in the Belgorod district as an AFU drone attacked a civilian vehicle.
💥In the #Kursk region, there are also constant AFU strikes on our territory. After the attacks of Ukrainian copters and kamikaze drones, 8 local residents were injured in the Glushkovsky, Sudzhansky and Korenevsky districts. The enemy is knocking out civilian infrastructure and agricultural equipment
🛡Over the #Bryansk region, 2 aircraft-type UAVs were destroyed at night.
💥In the #DPR, on the #KrasnyPartizan – #Yasinovataya motorway, men born in 1981 and 1985 were injured when an explosive object was dropped on a car. 🎯In the evening, the RFAF launched missile strikes against enemy facilities in #Odessa, the air burst of an air defence missile the enemy propaganda for some reason tried to pass off as the destruction of our missile (no civilian casualties were reported). Regional channels report that about two minutes pass between the alarm signal in #Odessa and the arrival, which may be related to the launch of missiles from the territory of #Crimea.
🔹In the #Kharkov direction, the AFU are actively using special contingents (former prisoners) in meat assaults to attack our positions in #Volchansk, near Volchanskiye Khutoras, #Tikhoye and #Glubokoye.
🔹In the #Kupyansk direction, the RFAF attacked in the villages of #Terny and #Makeyevka (#LPR). At #Andreyevka and the #Berestovoye - #Peschanoye ledge there are positional battles with the use of drones and artillery. Our troops are using aviation and FABs with UMPC. 🎬👇
🔹North of #ChasovYar's, eastern part, the situation is characterised by the gradual advance of our troops at #Kalinovka for the task of reaching the Seversky Donets-Donbass Canal. The eastern part of #Kalinovka and the territory of the farm north of the settlement came under the control of our forces.
🔹In the area of the #Toretsk (#Dzerzhinsk) agglomeration, the RFAF are advancing on their previous lines: #NyuYork (#Novgorodskoye), #Druzhba, #Kirovo, #Yuzhnoye. At the same time, the AFU is conducting an organised defence, solving the task of depleting our offensive potential in the direction.
🔹In the #SouthDonetsk direction, the plan of our forces to gradually cut off the enemy in #Krasnogorovka from supplies is being realised. There is an advance of our storm troopers in the town.
🔹On the #Zaporozhye front, the LoC is without changes. The roads to the frontline are mined from enemy ‘Baba Yaga’ drones, and under constant enemy UAV strikes. This factor is critical in organising the Russian offensive actions on the entire front. Over the past few days, Kiev troops have been continuously shelling an electrical substation in the #Zaporozhye region.
🔹In the #Kherson direction, mutual hunting for boats in the floodplain of the #Dnieper River continues. Otherwise, everything is reduced to artillery strikes, drones, and the solution of everyday firing tasks. The enemy is burning forests and hitting civilians as well as civilian infrastructure.
💥In #Belgorod region, the AFU continue to deliberately terrorise the civilian population with artillery and drone strikes. A drone dropped an explosive device on a moving vehicle on a stretch of motorway near the #Oktyabrsky settlement in Belgorod district. The driver was injured. A tractor driver was injured when a UAV dropped an explosive device near the village of #Cheremoshnoye in the Belgorod district. In Borisovsky district, a kamikaze drone attacked an administrative building in the village of #Beryozovka. A woman was wounded. In the village of #Otradnoye, Belgorod district, an AFU drone attacked a car travelling through the village, the car crashed into the fence of a private house and caught fire, injuring three people who were nearby at the time of the attack.
🛡The #Kursk border area is also under regular enemy attacks. 11 aircraft-type UAVs were shot down overnight over the region.
💥In the #Bryansk region, the AFU shelled the village of #Voronok in Starodubsky municipal district

🔴 On the #Zaporozhye Front, no active offensive actions have been taken by either side here. Positional battles with the use of long range weapons continued. (Fig. 1)
🔴 On the #Donetsk Front, Russian troops continue to assault #Krasnogorovka, step by step knocking the AFU further and further to the edge of the town. There are advances. In #Karlovka, the RFAF are fighting on the outskirts of the settlement and in the area of the Karlovskoye Reservoir. The AFU is offering fierce resistance.
🟡 In #Novosyolovka1st, where the RFAF continue to knock the Ukrainian garrison out of the settlement, heavy fighting continues. There are further tactical successes in the area of #Yevgenovka, where Russian troops have advanced towards the settlement of #Progress.
🟡 In #NyuYork, fighting continues, and there are advances by Russian troops. (Fig. 2)
🔴 In #ChasovYar Direction, fighting continues in the eastern part of the town. Russian troops are pressing the AFU defence in the area of #Kalinovka. Ukrainian troops, in turn, are stubbornly holding on to their line of defence. (Fig. 3)
🔴 On the #Kharkov Front, heavy fighting continues in the area of #Glubokoye and in #Volchansk.
🟡 The AFU is not abandoning its attempts to dislodge the Russian troops from their positions, sending more and more reserves into the battle. There are no significant changes in the line of contact, but the activity of fighting in the direction will remain extremely high. (Fig. 4)

🎯The RFAF, during the night, carried out strikes with ‘Geraniums’ against enemy facilities in #Kiev, #Mirgorod and #Poltava. Enemy air defence operations were reported in the #Sumy region. Over the day, separate missile strikes were carried out on #Nikolayev and #Chuguyev.
🔹In the #Kharkov direction, an unsuccessful attempt by the enemy special forces to cross the Travyanskoye Reservoir by boat and land on the western side of #Glubokoye was reported. The enemy landing force was covered by artillery fire. Fierce fighting continues in the town of #Volchansk. No significant changes in the LoC. Enemy attacks were repelled in the area of #Staritsa. The AFU are using FPV drones and Baba Yaga-type UAVs on a massive scale.
🔹In the #Seversk sector, the RFAF liberated #IvanoDaryevka with a decisive rush, which was a new and unexpected element in the development of the situation in this section of the front.
🔹In the area of the #Toretsk (#Dzerzhinsk) agglomeration, near #NyuYork (#Novgorodskoye), the settlement of #Yuryevka was taken under control by servicemen of the RFAF Group Centre, the RF MoD said. In the town of #Zheleznoye (Zaliznoye), Russian troops occupied the building of school No. 13 (advancing to a depth of up to 500 m).

The town of #Shebekino and the village of Novaya Tavolzhanka came under fire, the village of #Murom was attacked by a drone. A civilian was wounded in #Shebekino. In the afternoon, a woman was wounded in the village of #Terezovka as a result of an incoming AFU munition. By nightfall, the AFU shelled #Shebekino again, three civilians were injured, a woman's hand was torn off.
💥The #Kursk region's border districts are also under Nazi shelling. In the village of #Gornal, Sudzhansky district, a Ukrainian drone attacked the territory of a monastery, a civilian was killed.
💥In the #DPR, a man born in 1997 was wounded in the Petrovsky district of #Donetsk when the AFU shelled him with barrel artillery. In #Makeyevka, a man born in 1973 was injured as a result of a kamikaze UAV attack. 🔴 On the #Zaporozhye Front, without significant changes. In the area of #Rabotino and northwest of #Verbovoye, positional battles with the use of long range weapons. (Fig. 1)
🔴 On the #Donetsk Front, active offensive actions of the RFAF continue here in several areas.
🟡 In #Krasnogorovka, Russian troops continue to press the defence of the Ukrainian garrison, which is forced to withdraw further and further to the outskirts of the town. In #Karlovka, no significant advances. Active hostilities continue in the settlement itself and in the area of the Karlovskoye Reservoir, the AFU is holding firmly to their positions, but the initiative in the area in any case remains with the RFAF.

🔹In the #Kharkov area, the AFU counterattacks in #Volchansk led to the massive use of our FABs with UMPC against the enemy reserves that were trying to take refuge in basements. 🎬👇 There are fierce battles. On the left bank of the Seversky Donets in the forest west of #Sinelnikovo, the ‘North’ Group fighters have extended their bridgehead and advanced by 100 m.
🔹In the #Svatovo-#Kupyansk section, the offensive is unfolding in two directions. Ours liberated Peschanoye Nizhneye in the #Kharkov region, expanding at #Berestovoye and #Rozovka (#LPR).
🔹From #ChasovYar's northern flank, reports arrive that the RFAF have advanced north of #Kalinovka.
🔹In the area of #Toretsk, the RFAF continue its offensive. Most of the multi-storey buildings in #Kirovo have been occupied. In #NyuYork, ours advance, plan a small cauldron for the AFU.
🔹West of #Avdeyevka, the RFAF advance south of #Lozovatskoye and northeast of #Progress. In #Novosyolovka1st, fights for its southern part continue.
🔹In #Krasnogorovka, the RFAF occupied the Solnechny microdistrict and advanced in the town's western part up to 2.85 km wide.

💥In #Belgorod region, the AFU shelled #Shebekino town at night. A man's shrapnel wound was treated on the spot. Also, a drone attacked a passenger car travelling in #Ustinka village, Belgorod district, the driver was injured. On the Shebekino-Volokonovka section of the motorway, a drone attacked a passenger car. the driver was seriously injured. In Belgorod district, a drone attacked a passenger car near #Oktyabrsky village, injuring the driver.

🔴 On the #Zaporozhye Front, without significant changes in the line of contact. Fighting in this direction continues to be more of a positional nature. Long range weapons are active on both sides. (Fig. 1)
🔴 On the #Donetsk Front, in #Krasnogorovka, the RFAF continue to knock the enemy out of the town. The Ukrainian garrison is forced to gradually abandon its positions, but there is no question of fleeing. Heavy fighting continues. In #Karlovka, fighting continues on the outskirts of the settlement. The AFU are holding the defence tightly and every small advance is given to the Russian troops with great efforts.
🟡 In #Novosyolovka1st, the RFAF are are clearing the area that has come under their control. In #Progress there are also successes of the RFAF, we can say that the settlement is completely under the control of the Russian troops.
🟡 In #NyuYork, Russian troops continue to develop their offensive. Fighting continues in the central part of the locality. There are tactical successes. (Fig. 2)

🎯 By nightfall, enemy channels reported fire from Geran UAVs on the Shostkinsky border district of #Sumy region. In #Odessa region, the regional AFU command stated that the facade of the administrative building of a private enterprise, depots, were destroyed, lorries were damaged. Judging by the photos, the AFU logistics centre was covered.
🛡In #Sevastopol, air defences repelled an UAV attack. More than 15 UAVs were destroyed in the Severnaya and Fiolent areas. Fragments broke the glass of a lorry. Shrapnel from a 2nd UAV fell near a dacha. Nothing in the town was damaged. In the #Bryansk region, 2 UAVs were downed over Sevsky district.
🔹In the #Kharkov direction, the AFU made a number of unsuccessful incursions on our positions near Volchanskiye Khutora and #Glubokoye. In #Volchansk, there are high-intensity shooting battles.
🔹From the #Kupyansk area, there are separate reports of RFAF successes in #Sinkovka.
🔹In the area of #Toretsk, the RFAF in #Zaliznoye have consolidated along Zhitomirskaya, Kobzarya and Shkolnaya Streets; south of #Pivdennoye, village ours occupied two slag heaps. We took control of an area up to 3.5 km wide and 700 m deep. In #NyuYork there is an advance of up to 2 km wide and up to 1.2 km deep. The fighting is already ongoing in its central part. Ours use armoured vehicles and aviation. The AFU are bringing in reserves to stabilise the frontline.
🔹West of #Avdeyevka, the RFAF continue their offensive on a wide front. There is heavy fighting. Ours, after the takeover of #Progress, are developing success in #Novosyolovka1st. On the southern flank there are oncoming battles near #Karlovka and #Yasnoborodovka
🔹From #Krasmogorovka, reports about the RFAF success. The enemy garrison is cut off from supply. Conditions are created for its encirclement. To the south, our troops from #Georgiyevka advanced to #Maksimilyanovka, the AFU is trying to localise the breakthrough with multiple FPV drones.
🔹On the #Vremyevka ledge, after the liberation of #Staromayorskoye and #Urozhaynoye, the Russian Army started attacks towards #Makarovka and #Blagodatnoye.
🔹On the #Zaporozhye front, there were positional battles. Mutual drone strikes and artillery, our aviators are using FAB-500 with UMPC. During the night, power outages were reported in #Energodar and neighbouring areas. AFU drones once again attacked a substation.
