▪️ At 06.00, a group of five Mugin-5 drones took off from the Shkolny airfield in #Odessa in the direction of Cape Tarkhankut on an already "piloted" route. An hour later, a second wave of UAVs headed towards Crimea from the same airfield along a similar route.
▪️After reaching a certain point over the Black Sea, both groups of UAVs adjusted their route, heading towards Karkinit Bay and Bakalskaya Spit.
▪️The Ukrainian UAVs then entered the republic's airspace via the village of Steregushche in the Razdolnenskiy district of #Crimea. Three Mugin were shot down on the approach, while the others infiltrated further towards #Novoozernoye.
▪️The two remaining UAVs were destroyed by units of the 31st Air Defence Division near #Novoozernoye, while the rest returned to the coastal Black Sea waters via Donuzlav Bay.
▪️ Four more drones were hit near the northern breakwater in Sevastopol towards Cape Chersonese and Belbek airfield, while one went down in the sea near Novofedorovka.
♦️Specifics:
First, the AFU changed the timing of the raid. Almost every previous attack had been carried out at night or in the early hours of the morning. This time, however, the period between 08:00 and 10:00 was chosen.
Secondly, the attempted strikes were again carried out without objective control by NATO reconnaissance aircraft. A similar raid was carried out on the peninsula on 24 December last year.
Third, the chosen area for the infiltration into the territory of Crimea completely coincides with the previous attempted strikes. The ultimate targets were most likely Russian Aerospace Forces airfields on the peninsula, including #Saki and #Belbek.
NATO's satellite constellation has been actively imaging these sites in high detail for the last few days, as well as Gvardeyskoye, Dzhankoy, the Black Sea Fleet ship anchorage in #Sevastopol and the positions of mobile air defence units.
♦️ What next?
The Ukrainian command varies tactics in the use of drones, periodically changing the timing of attacks and the types of drones used, ranging from commercial Mugins to aerostats. More UAVs were dispatched in two waves today compared to past raids.
The purpose of this morning's action by the AFU was the same - to assess the state of air defence by identifying SAM and mobile squadron positions and the least defended areas in the air defence.
It is likely that in the next few days attempts at strikes will continue. And this time with a high degree of probability the US RQ-4B UAV, which flew from the Sigonella airbase to the Larissa airbase in #Greece, will be observing the actions of the RF Armed Forces.
This will increase the operational efficiency of the RQ-4B near Russian borders. Eight MQ-9A Reaper UAVs have already been at the Greek base since November, and the arrival of the Global Hawk demonstrates #Greece's increased role in the US geopolitical deterrence strategy.

▪️ Heavy fighting continues in the #Artyomovsk sector, with Prigozhin reporting a shortage of artillery ammunition to support the advancing attackers, resulting in multiples of casualties on our side.
🔵 In the #Ugledar section, the enemy launched an attack to occupy our strongholds near #Nikolskoye. As a result of the battle the enemy suffered losses and withdrew, a massive artillery strike was launched against the places of concentration of retreating enemy troops.
▪️ In the #Bryansk region, the AFU struck the village of Polevye Novoselki in the Suzemsky district. A civilian's leg was torn off. Several houses were damaged and power supply was disrupted.
▪️ In #Sevastopol our air defence system shot down a UAV near #Belbek airfield yesterday around 19:00.
▪️ In the LPR, the localities of #Alchevsk and #Rubezhnoye, were shelled from HIMARS MLRSs.
▪️ On the DPR civilians the enemy fired 456 rounds of ammunition. #Gorlovka, #Mikhaylovka, #Ozeryanovka, Shirokaya Balka, Novoselyovka II, #Mineralnoye, #Yakovlevka, #Yasinovataya, #Donetsk, #Aleksandrovka, #Yelenovka, #Petrovskoye, #Yegorovka, #Stepnoye, #Nikolskoye, #Vladymirovka came under fire. 🗓 Yesterday, Ukrainian formations once again attempted to attack #Crimea. From noon onwards there was an active transfer of landing troops on boats to Snake Island from #Vilkovo, which at around 15:00 - 16:00 headed in the direction of #Crimea through gas production installations and fields.
▪️ The movement of the Ukrainian GUR and Special Forces troops on 14 boats was detected in advance. Su-24 aircraft of the Black Sea Fleet's maritime aviation were dispatched to the area of their movement, which at 19:39 and 19:40 struck with four RBK-500 cluster munitions.
▪️ As a result, several watercraft were damaged, and the rest turned around and departed in the opposite direction. At the same time, the SRG sortie was planned to be coordinated in time with the launch of drones on the peninsula.
🔹 Units of the 31st Air Force and Air Defense Division, together with electronic warfare crews, shot down and suppressed five aircraft-type drones. Two were landed by electronic warfare at Cape #Fiolent, two were destroyed on approach to the #Belbek Airfield, and another one was over the southwestern part of #Sevastopol.
📌 And in this situation, it is still unclear where the drones were launched from. Considering the areas of their discovery in the west of #Crimea, the takeoff was either from the #Odessa region or from drilling rigs, the use of which, including for this purpose, we 👉 talked about a few days ago.

🔹 If you look at the map of images of the Earth's surface from military satellites TOPAZ for 16 - 17 September, the number has increased noticeably. There were 33 images of various objects in #Crimea, including the Crimean bridge.

▪️ The Pantsir-S1 SAM systems of the 31st Air Force and Air Defence Division shot down 5 Cruise missiles over Cape #Tarkhankut and #Belbek Airfield. 3 Storm Shadow fell near #Verkhnesadovoye, the target was probably a former military facility near the village.
▪️ A few hours before the attack, a reconnaissance drone of an unidentified type flew from #Kherson, which, rounding Cape #Tarkhankut, took up a patrol area west of #Kacha and targeted aircraft. It was shot down with a high probability by air defence means.
📌 This attack demonstrates a slight change in Cruise Missile Tactics. Previously, such massive raids were conducted at night or early morning, but not during the day. And flying the bombers at extremely low altitude is something Ukrainian crews have been practising for months, trying to exploit gaps in air defence detection.
