🔹1. In the south of #Bakhmut (#Artyomovsk), fighting is taking place near #Kleshchiyevka, where the Wagners are pounding and storming the AFU strongholds. #Kleshchievka itself has not yet been entered. To the south our troops are trying to advance from the #Kurdyumovka and #Ozeryanovka areas, but no results are known yet.
🔹2. In #Bakhmut itself there is fighting in the southeastern outskirts, where the "orchestra" is fighting for every house.
➖ Part of #Opytnoye has been taken, fighting is taking place in the centre of the village, and no one is marking a clear front line there now.
➖ In the vicinity of the town's industrial area fighting is taking place at the site of the gypsum plant and Patrice Lumumba street. There is little progress and the fighting is mostly positional.
🔹3. #Podgorodnoye is taken, where the system of the AFU Ukrops is similar to #Opytnoye, but they are still breaking there, while in #Podgorodnoye they have already broken through.

The enemy have marked themselves off State Enterprise Artemsol (video with Butusov). They are sitting on the Sol station, on the western outskirts of #Soledar, having transferred the 46th Brigade from the #Zaporozhye direction for reinforcement.
➖ Ours have entered the town from the #Yakovlevka side and there are reports of advances westwards to the #Seversk - #Soledar highway, but even here the real front line is difficult to mark at the moment.
🔹5. According to military expert Boris Rozhin, the capture of #Soledar will allow us to cover the enemy positions in #Bakhmut from the north. At the same time, problems arise in the enemy defence north of #Soledar at the line of #Veseloye - #Belogorovka - #Berestovoye - #Spornoye.
➖ Cutting the #Seversk - #Soldar route will enable an offensive along it to #Seversk. If the offensive towards #Seversk and northwards develops, the enemy is deprived of the opportunity to use a bridgehead near the second #Belogorovka at Seversky Donets River to put pressure on #Lisichansk and through the forested area to #Kremennaya.
➖ This is a complex impact!
🔹6. The enemy tries to cling to areas of weapons depots, artemsol underground communications and urban development.
🔹7. Retreating to #Bakhmut, the enemy will attempt to hold the defenses in the western part of the city, if necessary by withdrawing to equipped positions near Chasov Yar, using the dominant heights, before retreating to #Druzhkovka, #Kramatorsk and #Konstantinovka. With the pushing of the enemy in #Bakhmut, the front is hardly likely to crumble.
🔹8. A defensive breakthrough at #Soledar could have more serious consequences for the AFU. But everything depends on the pace of our advance and how quickly the enemy will be able to stabilize the line after losing #Soledar.

🔹The guys from the Wagner PMCs carried out attacks along the entire perimeter of the enemy front in the city at night and in many places they managed to dislodge the enemy from its positions, which caused an overnight "operational crisis" and even panic in the ranks of the AFU.
🔹To save the situation, the remnants of the reserves were hurriedly transferred to the city (even the infantry were thrown in instead), which managed to hold the main line of defense, but were unable to contain the attacks on the flanks.
🔹This allowed our troops to gain a foothold on the northern outskirts of the city and engage in combat in the area of garage cooperatives. At the same time the salt mines in the northern part of the city and the Sol railway station were under attack.
🔹In the south we managed to finally dislodge the enemy from the village of #Podgorodnoye (it is not on the map, it is slightly to the south) and reach the village of Krasnaya Gora, and thus, together with the success in the north, take the city into operational encirclement (there are no safe roads for the AFU here anymore, they are all shot through).
📌 I think that tonight there will be another pressure of the "musicians", and in this situation it will be very difficult for the AFU to keep the situation under control. Therefore, it is possible that tomorrow they may receive an order to retreat (if they have time, of course).

🩸In the vicinity of #Bakhmut (#Artyomovsk) and #Soledar, fierce fighting continues. Russian forces are penetrating the AFU defences, forcing them to move more and more reinforcements to hold the settlements.
♦️#Soldar Sector:
▪️ Wagner PMC assault units are advancing in the area of Salt Mine 1-3 on AFU positions in Artemsol at the intersection of Chkalova and Karpinskogo streets.
▪️ In the northeastern outskirts of #Soledar, the assault units advanced towards Yurchina Gora, taking control of the stretch of road up to #Blagodatnoye.
▪️ The situation in #Soledar is close to critical for the Ukrainian militants. The RF Armed Forces have broken through the first and second defence lines, while the combat ranks of the third line are threated. The forces of the 128 Separate Mountain Assault Brigade have fled the lines and the resistance is being mounted by ideologically savvy members of the AFU.
▪️ Units of the 99th Battalion of the 61st Mechanized Brigade have lost control of three observation posts and part of the 61st Brigade's forces have been withdrawn from the combat area to make up for their losses. On 6 January, two additional platoons have been moved into the vicinity.

➖UAV operators of the 40th Combined Battalion and the 92nd Mechanized Brigade of the AFU conduct reconnaissance of Russian positions near #Kuzemovka, #Naugolnoye, and #Kolomiychikha.
▪️The reconnaissance activity of Ukrainian SRGs and Fly Eye UAVs from the 80th Separate Air Assault Brigade has increased in the #Liman area. The enemy is drawing in reserves for an offensive in the area of #Dibrova.

▪️Northeast of #Bakhmut (#Artyomovsk), Russian units, taking advantage of the terrain, have broken through the defences of the AFU's 17th Tank Brigade and 60th Mechanized Brigade from the direction of #Podgorodnoye and #Bakhmutskoye, opening the way for further offensive on Krasnaya Gora and #Paraskovievka. A sweep of the strongholds adjacent to the villages is ongoing.

▪️The Ukrainian command is working on the option of a counterattack on the lost positions. 500 servicemen of the Territorial Defence Brigade are planned to be transferred to #Seversk from the #Sumy Region.
However, the likelihood of such a plan being implemented is extremely low. All roads and supply routes are under the RF Armed Forces' fire control, while Russian servicemen have occupied dominating heights.
▪️ Russian paratroopers in the area of Krasnyaya Gora and #Paraskovievka continue their offensive from the direction of #Podgorodnoye. The Airborne Forces are clearing the adjacent areas of Ukrainian militants. The paratroopers have not yet gained full control of the settlements.
