⚡️🇷🇺🇺🇦☠️ Destruction of Ukrainian Su-25 Attack Aircraft near #Kherson⚡️
🗓 This Morning (25 Apr 2023), a Russian MANPAD system shot down a Ukrainian Su-25 in the #Kherson direction. The enemy aircraft went down near the village of #Veletenskoye, west of #Kherson near the #Borshchevka River. A large fire occurred at the site, characteristic for a downed attack aircraft.
Coordinates:
The enemy had 32 Su-25 attack aircraft in service and another 10 in storage prior to the start of the# SMO. According to open sources, the AFU has lost about 16 aircraft of this type so far.
📌 Lately, Ukrainian Aviation activity in the area near #Kherson has increased. Ukrainian Air Force aircraft regularly take off from the airfield in #Voznesensk and #Kanatovo, and when a pair of Su-25s flew to #Kherson, a Bayraktar TB2 drone was in the air north of #Belozerka.
The Turkish-made strike drones now perform only a reconnaissance function and fly over the #Kherson region almost daily. It is possible that it was the one that provided target designation for the downed Ukrainian attack aircraft.

The destroyed Su-25 was paired with another aircraft of similar type. They were heading towards the islands south of #Kherson, where Ukrainian formations have been trying to establish a foothold in recent days. However, after the defeat of the former, the wingman immediately left in the opposite direction.
