⚡️🇷🇺🇺🇦💡Massive Missile Strike by RF Armed Forces on Infrastructure in #Ukraine on 9 Mar 2023 - what is known by 14:00⚡️

💥 Russian forces launched massive missile strikes against critical infrastructure in #Ukraine overnight.

The list of assets used in the attack was significantly expanded. The RF Armed Forces used kamikaze drones, cruise missiles, and even the Kinzhal hypersonic system.

🔹What is known by this Hour?

▪️ #Kiev: The engine room and boiler room of CHPP-5, a major generating station in the capital, have been hit. Combined with other hits, there have been significant power and communication problems in the city.

The facility has previously been targeted by Russian forces more than once, but the plant continued to operate. That said, if the RF Armed Forces manage to take out at least a few turbines and boilers, power generation will be significantly reduced.

▪️ #Kharkov: at least fifteen explosions were heard in the city. According to some reports, the operation of CHPP-3 and CHPP-5 was shut down. Local residents reported power and water supply outages, communication and heating problems.

▪️ #Dnepropetrovsk region: a series of explosions were heard in Pavlograd, Krivoy Rog and Dnipropetrovsk districts. According to preliminary reports, the targets of the attacks in the Krivoy Rog district could be the Krivoy Rog thermal power plant and the Yuzhnaya 330 substation.

▪️ #Zhytomyr region: the Zhytomyr 330 substation was allegedly hit: the regional centre was partially de-energised, about 150,000 subscribers were left without power.

▪️ #Volyn region: citizens heard powerful explosions in #Lutsk and #Kivertsy. The blow was so powerful that some residents of #Kivertsy reported that their houses were shaking.

There is an oil depot, an airfield and the Lutsk-North 330 substation, as well as military facilities in the #Lutsk area.

▪️ #Vinnitsa region: powerful explosions were heard in the region. Facilities at the Ladyzhyn TPP may have been hit again.

▪️ #Kirovograd region: local residents reported sounds of explosions in Kropivnitsky district and emergency power outages. The target of the attack in the region could have been the Ukrainka 330 substation.

▪️ #Odessa region: local authorities said a power facility in the region was hit. Among the possible targets of the strikes are the Adzhalyk 330 substation, Novoodesskaya 330 substation, Usatovo 330 substation and Tsentrolit 220 substation.

▪️ #Sumy region: one of the buildings of the Chemical Products Research Institute in Shostka was probably hit.

▪️ #Zaporozhye region: Local authorities reported that an energy facility in the region was hit.

▪️ Ivano-Frankovsk region: hit an unknown energy infrastructure facility.

▪️ Local residents also reported the sounds of explosions in #Lvov, #Kherson, #Khmelnytsky, #Nikolayev, #Ternopil, #Rivne, #Cherkasy and #Chernigov regions.

▪️ After the strikes, Ukrainian Railways reported train delays of up to an hour due to power supply problems. Several trains are delayed by almost four hours.

📌 Today's Wave of strikes was the most massive this year. Among the known targets are critical to the functioning of power plants are engine rooms.

The precise hits caused significant power supply problems in several regions of the country, which, however, were restored within hours.

The largest disruption in power supply to the contact line network was in central #Ukraine. Large interruptions were recorded near #Podilsk (#Odessa region) and #Odessa, as well as small ones near #Lvov and in the Carpathian passes.

In addition, local authorities have once again preventively switched off power before the raid, but this is also causing significant damage to the power system, undermining its stability.

Despite the lack of immediate results, such attacks are increasingly destabilising Ukraine's energy infrastructure, leaving hopes of its disintegration and disruption of railways and industry.

🔹#Starobelsk (#Svatovo) Direction:

▪️ Along the line #Kupyansk - #Svatovo - #Kremennaya and near #Seversk, positional fighting and mutual reconnaissance continue, no serious changes in these sections of the front.

▪️ The AFU terrorists fired four HIMARS rockets at #Alchevsk. A boiler house, a gas pipeline and seven residential buildings have been hit. There were no civilian casualties.

🔹#Soledar (#Bakhmut) Direction (MAP):

▪️ Ukrainian commanders are moving additional forces to #Bogdanovka and #Grigorovka, expecting an offensive by Russian forces in this area.

▪️ Fighting continues near the highway from #Khromovo to Chasov Yar. The "Wagnerians" have established a foothold on the road section and cut off the supply of the AFU grouping in #Bakhmut.

▪️ Wagner PMC assault squads are pushing through the defences of the Ukrainian formations in the north and centre of #Bakhmut. The enemy attempts to counterattack.

🔹#Donetsk Direction (MAP):

▪️ North of #Avdeyevka there is fighting between #Novokalinovo and #Novobakhmutka. Ukrainian forces attempted to counterattack and regain lost positions near the H20, but failed and withdrew with significant losses.
➖ At the same time, the RF Armed Forces are conducting a positional offensive in the direction of #Novokalinovo.

▪️ Southwest of #Avdeyevka, fighting continues northwest of #Vodyanoye, where Russian servicemen stormed two strongholds of the AFU's 53rd Mechanized Brigade.

▪️ The enemy command is reinforcing the grouping in the #Avdyeyevka fortified area, two assault groups of the 137th Battalion of the 35th Brigade of the Ukrainian Navy have arrived in #Keramik.

➖ In turn, the Ukrainian terrorist formations shelled settlements on the left bank of the #Dnieper River. Residential buildings and infrastructure of Novaya Kakhovka, Golaya Pristan and #Alyoshki were damaged.

🔹#Crimea (MAP):

▪️ On Saturday morning, Ukrainian formations attacked #Crimea with a Grom-2 surface-to-air missile. The missile was intercepted by an air defense system over the sea near #Kerch.

▪️ The day before, late in the evening, the enemy shelled #Armyansk in the north of the peninsula with MLRS " Alder", the shells were shot down by air defence systems.

🔸Political and other Events:

▪️ Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has signed a law banning the naming of geographical sites associated with Russia and the USSR.

▪️ Ukrainian authorities have set up a commission to check the use of sites in the Pochayev Lavra of the canonical UOC in the #Ternopil region.

▪️ The Czech Republic has sent 12 T-72M1 tanks as military aid to #Ukraine, bringing the total number of heavy equipment transferred to 62.

▪️ In the #SouthDonetsk direction in the area of #Vremyevka ledge, the AFU attacked near #Staromayorskoye and #Urozhaynoye, achieving no success.

▪️ In the #Kamenskoye sector of the #Zaporozhye front, the enemy is also concentrating its forces, with the possibility of shifting the direction of the main attack by the AFU with the aim of reaching #Vasilyevka. Yesterday up to 4 waves of enemy attacking forces were destroyed near the town of #Pyatikhatki, engaging from a platoon to a company each of the attacks.

🔹The National Bank of Ukraine joined the wave of public discussions around the mobilisation bill. The bill proposes restrictions for citizens who do not appear at military enlistment offices. They want to be prohibited from buying real estate and managing funds. The head of the Bank, Andrey Pyshny, said that his department is ready to discuss regulations. But his deputy does not see any possibilities for such bans within the existing legislative framework. According to her, bank secrecy can only be disclosed by a court decision. So these regulations will violate the human right to confidentiality of information.

🔹Deputy Gonarenko, the author of one of the alternative bills on mobilisation, reported on his social networks that the Anti-Corruption Committee of the Verkhovna Rada recognized the government bill as “containing corruption risks.” This prompted a deputy from Poroshenko’s party to declare that the law in its current form cannot be adopted categorically.

🔹In #Ternopil, the case of two employees of the local military enlistment office was brought to court. They are suspected of beating and illegally imprisoning people. Employees of the security department of #Ternopil tortured those liable for military service. They kidnapped them on the street and beat them, forcing them to undergo a medical examination. One of these episodes was caught on 👉 video and ended up online.👇Now both have been removed from their positions and are under nightly house arrest. The preventive measure is mild for such a violation, but if we take such matters seriously, there will be no one at the enlistment offices to ensure mobilisation.

🔹Dnepropetrovsk Governor Lysak took a creative approach to mobilisation issues. He registered his personal driver to serve in the National Guard. But the newly minted junior lieutenant will not go to the frontline, but will continue to carry his boss. Such creativity opens up wide opportunities for officials. You can fulfill the mobilisation plan and at the same time save on paying for personnel. After all, now the state will provide him with food. Unless, of course, law enforcement and anti-corruption agencies become interested in the case.

🔹Corruption scandals involving high-ranking officials from the MoD continue in #Ukraine. This time, charges were brought against the former Deputy Minister of Defense Shapovalov and the head of the procurement department of MoD Khmelnitsky. They are accused of purchasing 50 thousand body armor for the AFU, which did not meet the requirements and could not be used in the army. Damage is estimated at $25 million. The 3rd person involved in the case, the former head of the department for the development of clothing supplies of the AFU, went on the run in time and is now wanted.

🔹#Kiev Mayor Klitschko also made headlines. And not only because of yesterday’s sewerage accident in Borshchagovka. He solemnly opened passage across the Podolsky Bridge. Apparently, in order to interrupt the negativity. But with the bridge, not everything is so simple. Firstly, the bridge is one of the main symbols of corruption in #Kiev. 🔹In the #SouthDonetsk (#Ugledar) direction, the RFAF are attacking #Krasnogorovka and fighting in #Georgiyevka.

🔹In the #Pokrovskoye direction (west of #Avdeyevka), the Russian Army is developing success at the #Ocheretino ledge. Our units are moving from #Ocheretino westwards towards the settlement of #Progress and northwards towards #Novoalexandrovka, while the enemy is trying to slow down their advance by mined terrain and FPV drone strikes. Fighting is already taking place on the outskirts of #Novopokrovskoye (west of #Berdychi). In #Netaylovo, the RFAF are assaulting the centre of the settlement.

🔹On the outskirts of #ChasovYar, artillery and aviation are working on the enemy positions in the town, there are no significant changes in the line of contact.

💥In the evening, the enemy struck an oil depot in #Lugansk. At around 20:30, small arms fire was reported near #Taganrog in the #Rostov region. The enemy fired 39 rounds of ammunition at civilians in the #DPR, and a man born in 1947 was wounded in #Donetsk as a result of a mine explosion at the Lepestok mine.
