🎯 Overnight, the enemy reported 9 "Geraniums" in the skies over #Ukraine. Explosions were heard near the #Starokonstantinov airfield in #Khmelnitsky region, as well as in #Cherkassy, #Odessa and #Kherson regions.
▪️ In the #Kherson region, the Russian Army lost Su-34 aircraft yesterday. The enemy prepared an ambush on the warplanes, which had been performing similar tasks for weeks, and shot down our planes with air defence equipment. The tragedy was caused by a combination of factors, including the lack of co-operation between the flying units and the separate reconnaissance brigade and the absence of a complete picture of the positioning areas of the enemy air defence forces before the sorties. Fighting on the ground continues near #Krynki.
▪️ On the #Zaporozhye front in the #Rabotino - #Verbovoye section, small assault groups with armoured vehicles from the 82nd Separate Airborne Assault Brigade of the AFU undertook attacking actions. The attacks were repelled by arrow and artillery fire. Our aviation is working, FAB and UMPC are being used.
▪️ In the #Artyomovsk (#Bakhmut) direction, reports about the advance of our troops in the direction of #Ivanovskoye (#Krasnoye). The zone of control of the RF Armed Forces is expanding north of #Kleshcheyevka, and there is fighting near #Bogdanovka.
▪️ On the rest of the front there is local fighting, the initiative is in the hands of the Russian Army.

🎯 Night strikes on the enemy's rear were of a massive nature today. "The Geraniums operated in the #Chernigov, #Kiev, #Nikolayev, #Kirovograd and #Odessa regions. Particularly strong UAV strikes hit the #Odessa region. It was reported that a new modification of this series of attack drones, made of improved materials and with jet engines, was used. In #Lvov, #Cherkassy and #Kharkov explosions sounded in the morning, missiles were launched from 18 TU-22M3 and TU-95ms aircraft. Together with decoys were used X-22. Ground-based missile weapons also worked.
▪️ In the #Kherson region on our shore in #Krynki, almost wiped out by constant artillery and air strikes, fighting continues. The enemy still does not count losses both in the settlement itself and in the transfer of manpower across the #Dnieper.
▪️ On the #Zaporozhye front, a small group of enemy infantry was destroyed near #Verbovoye yesterday morning. Near #Rabotino, the RF Armed Forces attacked enemy strongholds after artillery preparation. FABs with UMPCs worked on the accumulation of enemy troops in the forest plantations.
▪️ Near #Avdeyevka, on the northern outpost of the front, heavy fighting is taking place. The battle does not stop near #Stepovoye, the enemy is pulling up reserves in the area of #Berdychi, including tanks and armoured vehicles. The AFU plans to increase the use of FPV drones, and the enemy still has a certain shortage of artillery shells.
▪️ In the north of the direction to Chasov Yar at #Bogdanovka, where our troops are still entrenched, at #Khromovo and #Ivanovskoye (#Krasnoye), heavy battles are taking place, In the south, near #Andreyevka, they reported on the advance of our troops in the area of the railway line.

🎯 The first day of 2024 saw constant strikes on the enemy's rear facilities. After the AFU terrorist bombardment of #Belgorod, Geranium UAVs, including new modifications, have been operating in waves. Due to the relatively low flight speed of the drones, it is possible to achieve an almost constant presence of our strike drones in the Ukrainian skies. The intensity of their use is increased, they report serious consumption of the enemy air defence ammo, which reduces the defence of enemy facilities in the long term.
🔥 Tonight night explosions and work of the AFU air defence were going on in #Kiev, #Cherkassy, #Nikolayev and #Kirovograd regions. In the #Zaporozhye region "Geraniums" during the day hit the control points of the AFU. In the morning the enemy recorded the take-off of our 16 TU-95ms and 4 TU-22m3 aircraft.
▪️ In the #Kherson direction, the situation on the bank of the #Dnieper did not change. On 1 January 2024, the strikes on the enemy's manpower in #Krynki continued, UAV operators destroy enemy personnel during crossings. The enemy launches drone strikes on our positions.
▪️ On the #Zaporozhye front the enemy has switched to manoeuvre defence, strikes with artillery, steadfastly holds the lines in the direction of #Verbovoye and #Rabotino. Our frontline soldiers describe the situation as a "push-and-pull", but the enemy's exhaustion has forced him to start preparing a second line of defence in the rear and to transfer reinforcements for this purpose.
▪️ From the #Avdeyevka sector, there were reports of fighting on the northern edge of the front near #Stepovoye and the Coke Plant.
▪️ South of #Maryinka, fighting near #Novomikhaylovka, several AFU strongholds have been occupied.
▪️ At Chasov Yar, the RF Armed Forces are continuing their offensive. There is a battle in the area of #Bogdanovka, #Khromovo, #Kleshcheyevka. No changes in the frontline.
💥 The enemy has intensified terrorist attacks on civilians. In #Kursk region, the village of #Troitskoye in Korenevsky district was shelled. Over the #Bryansk region, enemy UAVs were destroyed. The number of shells fired by the AFU in the #Belgorod region has equalled the frequency of strikes on the civilian population of the #DPR: about 200 munitions per day. Yesterday, the Nazis hit the settlement of #Krasnoye in the Shebekinsky urban district, a child miraculously survived in a room, and the settlement of #Bogun town in the Borisov district. In the #DPR 5 civilians were killed, 14 wounded. The Nazis are using MLRS, including HIMARS, and cluster artillery ammunition.
🎬 Successful hunt by our unit, which is tasked with fighting various enemy UAVs. Minus two Baba Yagas. One detonated in the air, the other was hit and crashed.

🎯 During the night, #Crimea again repelled an enemy air attack. Around midnight, 4 Storm Shadow missiles were intercepted and destroyed over the peninsula, before that, air targets were reported shot down from the west of #Crimea. Probably UAVs that were supposed to defuse our air defence systems.
⚡️ At the same time, the RF Armed Forces again hit with Geraniums at #Starokonstantinov airfield in #Khmelnitsky region, explosions were recorded in #Kupyansk, #Kherson, #Nikolayev and #Cherkassy regions.
▪️ In the #Kherson direction, the situation remains unchanged. There are heavy bloody battles, the enemy suffers sensitive losses in #Krynki and on the #Dnieper at the moment of crossing. Unsuccessful attempts to expand the zone of presence on our Dnieper bank have again attracted the attention of the Western press, which has concluded that the political rather than military sense of the operation is in Zelensky's interests.
▪️ On the #Zaporozhye front there is fighting in the #Rabotino - #Novoprokopovka - #Verbovoye area. There are no significant changes in the frontline.
▪️ West of #Maryinka our troops have advanced towards #Georgiyevka, there is a plan to strike #Kurakhovo. South of #Maryinka, advancement in the area of #Pobeda village. Fighting near #Novomikhaylovka.

The AFU has been preparing fortified areas and defence lines since the regrouping of the RF Armed Forces in 2022.

🔹Yesterday, the deadline for submitting alternative draft laws on mobilisation to the Verkhovna Rada expired. In total, there were 5 of them, 1 governmental and 4 parallel ones. In the morning, the Rada's Defence, Security and Intelligence Committee began its meeting to determine the fate of the future law, whether to bring it to the session hall for a vote and, if so, in what form. MP Zheleznyak noted that the discussion of the government bill is far from the top of the agenda. He predicted that no decision may be made at all. The decision has been postponed until today, 10 Jan.
🔹In #Odessa, employees of military commissions are actively mastering a new method of mobilisation, raids in public transport. Odessians posted a video in social networks, as the military stopped the tram, pulled out all the men from it and pushed them into their bus. Then there was a video of military officers breaking into a trolleybus for the same purpose. The male passengers were seized and taken away, despite the active indignation of the women. So, no matter what laws on mobilisation are adopted, methods outside the laws continue to play a leading role in replenishing the AFU.
🔹In villages in #Kievshchyna, employees of military commissions have also become active. A local resident complained on social networks that they, together with district police officers, drive up to houses, enter courtyards, and even break into doors if they are not opened. According to a woman, in recent days in her village alone about 70 persons liable for military service have been taken away in this way, some of them at night.
🔹Outside the front, Ukrainians are also fighting for life and business. A military farmer appealed to Zelensky in social networks with a request to stop the sale of land. The thing is that since 1 Jan a new rule came into force, according to which individuals and legal entities can buy plots of agricultural land with an area of 10,000 hectares. Previously it was possible to buy a maximum of 100 hectares. Ukrainian small and medium farmers opposed this innovation. While many of them are drafted to the front, large fonds and banks will buy up everything. The middle class in the countryside would be completely destroyed. Of course, the authorities ignored all the demands. After all, the transnational corporations, to which the Ukrainian authorities are subordinated, are interested in this very scenario. The same Black Rock I wrote about.
🔹An MoD official, Aleksandr Kozlovsky, suspected of corruption in AFU supplies, just decided to put the stolen money into the ground. As it became known on the results of pretrial investigation, he bought up 47 land plots in #Kiev, #Khmelnitsky, #Vinnitsa, #Cherkassy, #Zhitomir and #Poltava regions. At the same time, the title to the plots was registered to his mother-in-law and father-in-law. In total, he embezzled 170 mln. hryvnias. So in addition to land he had enough for a flat in #Kiev and an expensive SUV.
🔹Defence Minister Umerov summed up several major corruption cases in his ministry, which became known recently. According to him, an internal audit of the ministry over the past 4 months revealed violations for more than 10 billion hryvnias. For the near future, the minister promised more news about detentions and criminal cases in the MoD. Of course, he promised that everything will be fair now, as new defence procurement schemes are being implemented according to #NATO standards. Weapons, ammunition, logistics equipment, fuel, food and clothing for the troops will be purchased not by the ministry, but by two special agencies. In fact, this does not look like a fight against corruption, but rather the implementation of a standard Soros scheme, whereby national corruption will be replaced by supranational corruption.

🔹The Ukrainian media happily reported that Romanian farmers had lifted the blockade of crossings on the Romanian-Ukrainian border. But they quickly realised that they were too fast. After resuming the blocking, the farmers managed to get concessions from their government very quickly and then they lifted their blockade. Carriers complained that they were forced to stand idle for a long time at the border due to the trucks with Ukrainian license plates. Now there are separate lanes for EU lorries promised. Ukrainians will have to stand in queues longer. Also, the rules of weight control and some regulations on grain transportation will be tightened for them.
🔹A British Spectator columnist accused Zelensky of imposing sanctions on 17 Ukrainian companies and 1,611 Ukrainian citizens. He wrote that companies and their management are subject to police raids and criminal prosecutions for unspecified reasons of national security. According to him, the protection of security is only an excuse. In fact, the sanctions are imposed by the Ukrainian authorities to eliminate business competitors. The main goal is to put businessmen close to themselves at the head of companies.
🔹Estonian PM Kaya Kallas admitted that at her meeting with Zelensky in #Tallinn, the deportation of Ukrainian men of military age from #Estonia to #Ukraine was discussed. Callas stressed that she ruled out the expulsion of Ukrainians who are legally in her country. She agreed that Zelensky had the right to address them and call them back. But #Estonia itself "will definitely not do anything to extradite them." Zelensky, in turn, at a joint press conference, even promised that not all those who returned would be sent to the front. They will simply be able to work in #Ukraine and pay taxes, which will be used to finance the AFU. It is unlikely that many people will believe him.
🔹Donald Trump Jr. has offered his own recipe for resolving the conflict between #Russia and #Ukraine. "Depriving money," he wrote on X, "is the only way to start negotiations." 🎯 At night, our Geraniums and missiles struck enemy targets in the #Kiev, #Cherkassy, #Poltava, #Kharkov, #Nikolayev, #Odessa, #Dnepropetrovsk and #Sumy regions.
▪️ In the #Kherson direction, fighting continues in the #Krynki area. Observation posts on islands in the river floodplain. The #Dnieper is partly behind the enemy, partly behind our troops. In the absence of vegetation and the impossibility of opening positions due to water, the presence of our troops on every island does not make sense. The enemy keeps small groups of infantry precisely in “inconvenient” positions, which are targeted by drones. According to the Dnieper Group of Troops of the RF Armed Forces, as of yesterday, within a day, our FPV drone operators and airdrops destroyed: 1 car, 3 boats, 3 LDPE, LNG, 2 dugouts and UAV launchers. Air defence and electronic warfare forces shot down/suppressed 5 Baba Yaga and Leleka-100 octacopters and 10 FPV drones. Artillery strikes at enemy warehouses and concentration areas on the enemy shore.
▪️ On the #Zaporozhye front near #Verbovoye the frontline remains unchanged, the enemy is firing with cluster munitions and increasing drone activity. At #Rabotino, Aviation of the RF Armed Forces operates with FABs.
▪️ In the #Avdeyevka sector, the AFU have been counterattacking for a week in the Tsarskaya Okhota fortified area occupied by the RF Armed Forces. At the filtration station, our troops fought to take enemy positions.
▪️ Yesterday, the Russian Ministry of Defence officially confirmed the capture of #Tabayevka in the #Kupyansk sector, our troops are expanding the zone of control to the west. There are battles for the heights.
💥 Another terrible shelling of #Donetsk led to the death of 3 civilians, 16 civilians in the #DPR were injured. The practice of dropping ammunition from UAVs on civilians is becoming typical for the Nazis. At the same time, drone operators of the AFU see where they are throwing their deadly projectiles. There is a targeted terror of the population. In the #Belgorod region, 3 Uragan MLRS shells were destroyed in the evening over the Grayvoron urban district.
