Let me put it this way. I returned from #Opytnoye (southern suburb of #Bakhmut) the day before yesterday. So because of high losses the AFU will not surrender the city for sure. The enemy has suffered heavy losses there for a long time, but new forces have been and continue to arrive. The last rotation, for example, in #Opytnoye was five days ago (part of the 63rd Mechanized Brigade and some kinds pf Territotiaö Defence Battalions came). And as Rybar correctly says, there are still reserves.

And so far there are no clear signs of the AFU's intentions to leave the town. Heavy fighting continues on the combat contact lines and I have personally witnessed it. In my view, this scenario is now only possible if the threat of an operational or complete encirclement of the city becomes more tangible to the Ukrainian leadership. But that is not a matter for tomorrow.

As for the near-term outlook, I have a strong feeling that the enemy will withdraw from the eastern districts of the city behind the Bakhmutka River and continue the defence there.

From the ground I see it this way for now.

And yes, taking #Bakhmut for the sake of #Bakhmut is not the goal of the Wagner PMC. The main chord of the company is the destruction of the enemy's manpower and equipment. If he begins to fight in the city itself, it means an assault. Fortunately, the musicians have enough experience in fighting in large urban areas.

⚠️ I see it similarly to @brussinf and I have written it before in the comments. The AFU will only be forced to leave #Bakhmuth voluntarily if there is a threat of a cauldron, which cannot be reached overnight. The AFU can no longer afford a second #Mariupol with a elite units in the cauldron. The elite cannot withdraw solo, because then the rest would give up.

🗓 Today the AFU attacked Russian positions near #Kleshchiyevka. There was a lot of information on the net about the loss of control over the village, but at the moment the RF Armed Forces units are repelling the enemy's incessant sorties.

Judging by the footage from the Belarusian silovik, the movement of the AFU was noted in the forest belt near the Seversky Donets-Donbass channel from the side of #Kleshchiyevka. This video indicates that enemy formations crossed the canal, but were stopped by artillery fire.

The AFU also attempted to pressurize in small groups in other areas, using their numerical superiority in manpower to stretch the Russian army's defense line, as confirmed by the 4th Motorized Rifle Brigade of the RF Armed Forces.

The AFU units were advancing just south of #Bakhmut through the forest belt, intending to cut off the road from #Kleshchiyevka to #Bakhmut. At the same time, Ukrainian formations sheltering in a plantation tried to break through from the northwest of the village.

📌 Footage from various channels shows how intensively the AFU is attempting to pressurise the southern section of the #Bakhmuth front. Not counting casualties, the command sends one unit after another. And the purpose of this clumsy method of attack is to flood the frontline with cannon fodder in the hope of fatigue, shell hunger and panic in the ranks of the RF Armed Forces.

🔹In #Kherson Direction, the AFU still retain a foothold in #Krynki, but thanks to the actions of our units, the enemy's zone of control has noticeably decreased. During the night, AFU groups unsuccessfully tried to attack our positions from the southwestern outskirts. According to a number of estimates from the field, 300 to 400 AFU militants remain in the village. Ours are making it as difficult as possible to replenish their ranks.

🔹In #Zaporozhye Direction, the work of artillery activity does not decrease, there is no shortage of ammunition in the AFU. Hopefully, our army has no shortage either. During the next counterattack our military pushed the AFU from a number of positions near #Rabotino. Several AFU units were defeated near #Kopani. Our troops are advancing on the #Rabotino - #Kopani line.

🔹In #SouthDonetsk Direction, our forces continue to pressure the enemy on the outskirts of #Staromayorskoye. Also our fighters have fully occupied the forest belt to the west of the village.

🔹In #Donetsk Direction, on the northern flank of #Avdeevka, our army has so far rested on the Coke Plant. Judging by the shift of our attacks to the north, along the railway track and the battles, with which ours are pushing the AFU away from the heap, our army does not intend to storm the territory of the Coke Plant, which has been turned into a powerful fortification. On the southern flank, in the area of #Severnoye, the Russian army took control of an important height and continues to storm the positions of the AFU, which they have occupied since the ATO. The enemy notes the activity of artillery from our side and strong air support. To date, the Russian army is aimed at maximum complication of the supply of the AFU garrison with simultaneous methodical advance.

🔹In #Bakhmuth Direction, the news of the day is that our army has liberated #Khromovo (#Artyomovskoye). The fighting for the village had been going on since mid spring. The Wagnerians tried very hard to occupy the village in order to cut the supply of the AFU from Chasov Yar. Then they only managed to keep the supply route under fire control. Now our military is building on their success, and the forest belt to the north of the village has also been taken under control. Not so long ago the situation around the city was quite different. Our forces managed to seize the initiative and make significant advances.

🔹In #Svatovo Direction, fighting continues near #Sinkovka. The fighters of our grouping West have entered the northern outskirts of the village. Fighting for this tiny village has been going on for a long time, but no confident control has been achieved. Now we are once again trying to gain a foothold. To the east, there are positional battles near #Kislovka, without much success so far. At #Zagoruykovka and #Timkovka, our forces are pushing the enemy back. Ours have slightly touched the front near #Svatovo, the enemy is shelling #Kremennaya in response.

🔹In #Kherson Direction, our forces are attacking the AFU in #Krynki and hitting boats on the #Dnieper. There are still AFU springboards near the Cossack Camps, in #Krynki and near the #Antonovsky Bridge. To support their garrisons and to counter Russian aviation, artillery and drones, the AFU has sent several Bukovel EW crews and additional air defence units to #Kherson. They are using them at full capacity.

🔹In #Zaporozhye Direction, localised battles are taking place with the initiative by our army. Ours attacked west of #Rabotino and from the direction of #Verbovoye. The AFU, apparently, are busy building defensive structures. The breakthrough of our army on this line in one place will nullify all enemy efforts on this front, which became the main target of the AFU.

🔹In #SouthDonetsk Direction, our forces are trying to advance towards #Staromayorskoye, so far without success. Northwest of #Maryinka, the AFU are also holding their positions for now. And on the southern outskirts of #Novomikhaylovka and near #Pobeda, ours are slowly advancing.

🔹In #Donetsk Direction, the frontline around #Avdeyevka has not changed so far. Although there is serious fighting in all areas. Our army is targeting the approaches to the city from the southeast of the industrial zone and from the northeast, to the Coke Plant. A bit further northwest, heavy fighting continues in #Stepovoye and to the north of it. Most of the village is grey zone, but the AFU are still fighting. Further northwards, our forces pushed the AFU back from some positions near #Novokalinovo and advanced along the railway towards #Ocheretino. On the southern flank, our fighters are attacking at #Pervomayskoye, #Nevelskoye, moving slightly from #Vodyanoye and #Opytnoye to the limits of #Avdeyevka.

🔹In #Bakhmuth Direction, our forces have gained a foothold in the north of #Bogdanovka, in fact, the approaches to Chasov Yar, one of the most important defence nodes of the AFU. In the south and southwest there is still no change, although fighting is ongoing.

🔹In #Svatovo Direction, our troops are advancing in the landings near #Sinkovka. And at #Kremennaya, the control zone is being expanded a little north of the #Torskoye ledge.
