Захотелось какой-нибудь inspiring ✨жизненной книжки. И наконец нашла книгу про очередного астронавта 👨🚀очень похожую на книгу Криса Хэдфилда (really loved it). Все же есть что-то завораживающее в историях child dreams come true🌈И это одна из таких историй (plus his style is hilarious😆).
Don’t get me wrong: It’s not about dreams✋
Да, он мечтал стать астронавтом с тех самых пор как увидел Армстронга на луне еще ребенком. И да, он забыл об этой мечте так же как и многие из нас. Но в отличие от многих, Майк вспомнил о своей мечте, когда жизнь дала ему шанс ее исполнить. Он работал инженером, пока друг не предложил ему податься в НАСА.
Life is funny. I'd applied to the wrong graduate program, but that eventually led me to the right grad program. I'd taken what I thought was the wrong undergraduate major, and that was the thing that set me apart and allowed me to find my niche. I don't know if there are any lessons to take from that except to realize that the things you think are mistakes may turn out not to be mistakes. I realized wherever you are, if you make the most of what you've got, you can find a way to keep moving forward.

Его не приняли на работу, так как он был физически НЕГОДЕН. И когда я подумала что книга на этом закончилась, он удивляет всех и себя пройдя медосмотр на следующий год после интенсивных ежедневных упражнений на глаза👀🏋️.
Because being the right person isn’t about being perfect; it’s about being able to handle whatever life throws at you.
So what is it like to be there?🚀
And my thought looking down at the Earth was Wow. How much God our Father must love us that he gave us this home. He didn’t put us on Mars or Venus with nothing but rocks and frozen waste. He gave us paradise and said, “Live here.” It’s not easy to wrap your head around the origins and purpose of the universe, but that’s the best way I can describe the feelings I had.
Random notes:
• You only have one life. You have to spend it doing something that matters.
• If you get caught up worrying about things you can't control, you'll drive yourself nuts. It's better to focus on the things right in front of you. Identify the places where you can have a positive impact. Concentrate there and let the rest take care of itself.
• … because it wasn't really about choosing a career; it was about deciding who I was, which part of myself I wanted to be, and that's the hardest decision any of us has to make.
Finally, imagine being there instead of him looking down at 🌎 . What would you feel?
