🏵 Verb - Infinitive

🔸 ક્રિયાપદનું to + V-1/મૂળરૂપ એટલે Infinitive અને to વગર એટલે Bare Infinitive

1️⃣ સામાન્ય રીતે નીચે આપેલા Verb પછી આવતા Infinitive ની સાથે ‘to’ નો ઉપયોગ નહિ થાય.

(Active Voice માં)

1.  Behold
2.  Bid
3.  Feel
4.  Hear
5.  Help
6.  Let
7.  Make

Examples:

1.  Do you feel her touch?
2.  Let sir teach a new topic.
3.  Sir bade me go.
4.  We didn’t notice him go.

➡️ પરંતુ જો આપેલા Verb  નો ઉપયોગ Passive Voice માં કરવા માં આવે તો Infinitive ની સાથે ‘to’ નો ઉપયોગ થાય છે. જેમ કે

1.  Shreya was made to sing.
2.  We were bidden to go.

2️⃣ આપેલા શબ્દો સાથે Bare Infinitiveનો જ ઉપયોગ થાય છે.

had better, would rather, would sooner, sooner than, rather than, had sooner etc.

1.  He had better withdraw.
2.  You had better resign.
3.  He would better resign than fight with the boss.
4.  I would go rather than waste my time here.

➡️ Four kinds of sentences. - વાક્યના ચાર પ્રકારો

1️⃣ વિધાન વાક્ય - Assertive sentences
2️⃣ ~પ્રશ્નાર્થ વાક્ય - Interrogative sentences
3️⃣ આજ્ઞાર્થ વાક્યો - Imperative sentences
4️⃣ ઉદગાર વાક્યો - Exclamatory sentences

🔰 આ પોસ્ટમાં ઉદગાર વાક્યો શીખીએ.
🔸 આશ્ચર્ય, ઉદગાર, અહોભાવ, નવાઈ, દુઃખ, ખુશી જેવા મનોભાવ વ્યક્ત કરવા માટે ઉદગાર વાક્યો વપરાય છે.

1. What a nice flower you have!
તારી પાસે કેવું સુંદર ફૂલ છે!
2. How beautiful you are!
તું કેટલી સુંદર છે!

👆🏻 ઉપરના બંને વાક્યો ઉદગાર છે.
👉🏻 ઉદગાર વાક્ય સામાન્ય રીતે What કે How થી બને.
👉🏻 ઉદગાર વાક્યમાં What અને How બંનેના ગુજરાતી અર્થ કેટલા-કેવા, કેટલી-કેવી, કેટલું-કેવું, કેટલો-કેવો થાય છે.
👉🏻 વાક્યોના છેડે ઉદગારની નિશાની ( ! ) કરાય છે.

વાક્ય રચના:

> What + a / an + વિશેષણ + નામ + કર્તા + ક્રિયાપદ + વધારો!
Ex.
What an excellent answer you gave!

>How + વિશેષણ / ક્રિયા વિશેષણ + કર્તા + ક્રિયાપદ + વધારો!
Ex.
How cleverly she answered!

ચાલો થોડા વધારે ઉદાહરણોથી સમજીએ....

1. What a terrible accident it was!
તે કેવો/કેટલો ભયંકર અકસ્માત હતો!
2. What a cunning girl you are!
તું કેટલી/કેવી લુચ્ચી છોકરી છે!
3. What an artistic dress you have put on!
તે કેવો/કેટલો કલાત્મક ડ્રેસ પહેર્યો છે!
4. What an easy chapter this is!
આ ચેપ્ટર કેટલું બધું સહેલું છે!
5. How great God is!
ભગવાન કેટલા મહાન છે!
6. How beautiful you look!
તું કેટલી સુંદર લાગે છે!
7. How foolish Asha is!
આશા કેટલી મુર્ખ છે!
8. How brave the dogs are!
કુતરાઓ કેટલા બહાદુર હોય છે!
9. How irregular he is!
તે કેટલા અનિયમિત છે!
10. What a beautiful bird it is!
તે કેવું/કેટલું સુંદર પક્ષી છે!

🌟 જો વાક્યમાં (કર્મ તરીકે) વિશેષણ અને નામ બંને હોય તો તે વાક્ય What થી બને.
🌟 જો વાક્યમાં એકલું વિશેષણ (અથવા ક્રિયા વિશેષણ) હોય તો વાક્ય How થી બને.
