Tonight we started a digital painting of my Main OC (and future VTUBER character) Ryn, and her Familiar Hamlet.
I only managed to get the sketch and the flats done but it's a good start at least!
Just a quick reminder: Friday streams have been moved to Saturday! As it's my week off, I think it's gonna be a gaming stream. (Possibly some Stardew Valley chaos with friends) See you there!

note - the logo doesn't replace the Hamster Forge one, this is literally just for the VTuber model
anyways, you won't see anything else for this model until it's ready ;) okay... maybe a few sneak peaks here and there.

Sneak preview of my Vtuber model so far. We're only at the head and shoulders with no hair or mouth yet and we're already at 100+ layers. This is easily going to be a 600+ layer model T_T

We had a nice chill stream tonight!
We got to add the hands (although I still need to shade and add a few other fingies) as well as the top of the skirt! we're 2/3 of the way there!
You wouldn't believe how time consuming making a VTuber model actually is until you make one. And the method I'm doing is actually the FASTER method!
I've also attached the time-lapse of the process so far.

OBLIGATORY EYE PHYSICS SHOWCASE
I forgot to show you guys this when I made it last week XD So here is how I've rigged my eyes on my VTUBER model. Every maker always shows off their eye physics XD The bounce is a little over exaggerated here but thats down to Live2d's physics viewer. When its in Vtube Studio, tracking my eyes it wont be quite so noticeable.
I should have the mouth and head to show you later!

WIP on what we got done in the stream.
the new hair is almost finished, (the back parts need a bit more purple in them so they're a bit more bright and saturated though)
I also made a good attempt at starting the DBD fanart - however it needs alot of work, and plague (the character on the Left) is actually really complex so it'll take some work. But It has begun! The artist (the character on the left) actually has a longer neck than shown, so that needs tweaking. The crow also needs refining. BUT IT HAS BEGUN

I posted an update about my Vtuber model on my discord, but totally forgot to post the art here! I actually finished this on my week off (last week) Please excuse some asymetry in some of the things (such as the eyes) as technically, anything that there are mirror images only appear once (as they are copied and flipped when rigged) so som,e of the objects are actually older temporary objects (such as one of the eyes, arms and legs)
Total hours worked on this so far - 60 hours.
I'm now working on the rigging for this model in my free time.
I'll be posting little clips and gifs of the rigging every so often (including the obligatory eye blink)

VTUBER MODEL WIP
So I haven't had a huge amount of time this last week to work on the model. I've been working on her after doing comms for a few hours the last few days.
But tonight I finished setting up the Live2D document (sorting all the deformers and meshes).
Thought I'd include a statistics screenshot too:
- 459 Layers (Artmeshes)
- 565 Deformers (This is what makes the model move, rotate and warp to give the illusion of a 3d model)
- 71 Folders (Parts)
Now I can finally RIG THIS BITCH! ❤️
