In the words of Bank Islam Director of SME Banking, Rizal Mohd Yusof, “The programme is designed to encourage investments in the green technology industry, whether for the production of green products as a producer, or for purchasing green technology for adoption as a user”.

KPMG Malaysia's Head of Sustainability Advisory Services reported that asset managers in the Asia Pacific region are becoming aware of the benefits of ESG practices, such as valuation uplifts, increased management fees, and access to offshore capital.
What's more, 22% of investors in Malaysia currently have more than 15% of sustainable investment assets as part of their portfolio, with this number expected to rise to 38% in the coming years.
