It is impossible for anyone to demarcate what exactly Bhakti (devotion) is and what is not. Bhakti has infinite facets. Only pure, tender, tolerant, calm and loving souls, the very cream of Sadhus (holy men), the Hamsas (realised persons) sporting ever in the company of kindred Bhaktas, can understand its purity and depth. Others will find it as difficult to discover Bhakti in a person as discovering softness in a rock or coldness in fire or sweetness in neem. The Bhakta holds the Lord dearer to him than life; and the Lord too is attached to him in equal measure.
اين غير ممكن است كه كسي بتواند تعيين كند بكتي (از خود گذشتگي) دقيقا ً چه هست و چه نيست. بكتي شكلهاي بسيار زيادي دارد. تنها روح هاي پاك، لطيف، آرام و دوست داشتني، عصاره خود سادوها (انسان هاي مقدس)، هامساها (كساني كه به درك كامل رسيده اند) كه در جوار باكتاها زندگي مي كنند، مي توانند پاكي و عمق آن را درك كنند. ديگران براي شناخت بكتي دچار مشكل خواهند شد، همانطور كه در يافتن نرمي در يك سنگ يا سرما در آتش يا شيريني در نئون دچار مشكل مي شوند. براي باكتا، خداوند عزيزتر از زندگي است؛ و خداوند نيز به همان اندازه به ايشان متصل است.

🎆 Love, sacrifice, service and righteousness are the four limbs of religion. Religion brings out the divine and sublime feelings in man and makes him serve society. It evokes all that is great, blissful and good in men, and demonstrates the unity of mankind. It is unfortunate that religion, which has such high and sacred objectives, is construed and practiced in a narrow way and propagated as a narrow creed. Religion is like an undercurrent that sustains the whole of humanity. The founders of religions, with a view to spreading the subtle secrets of religious faith, laid down certain rules of conduct and conveyed their message to the people. Thus, when the essence of all religions is one and the same, when all the scriptures proclaim the same truth, when the goal of all human effort is one, where is the basis for any differences? The paths are varied, but the destination is one and the same.
🎆 عشق، از خود گذشتگي، خدمت و نيكوكاري چهار عضو دين هستند؛ دين الوهيت و احساسات والا را در انسان آشكار مي سازد و او را به خدمت به جامعه ترغيب مي كند؛ دين هر آن چه بزرگ و مايه سعادت و خوشبختي در انسان است فرا مي خواند و وحدت بشر را اثبات مي كند؛ متاسفانه دين كه چنين اهداف والا و مقدسي در خود دارد، از آن به عنوان راهي باريك و اعتقادي محدود استنباط شده؛ دين مثل جرياني پنهاني است كه همه بشريت را تقويت و حمايت مي كند؛ بنيانگزاران اديان، با نگرشي نسبت به گستردن اسرار لطيف و والاي ايمان ديني، قوانين رفتاري خاصي را پايه ريزي كردند و پيام خويش را به گوش مردم رساندند؛ از اين رو، وقتي اساس همه اديان يكي است، وقتي همه اظهارات كتب مقدس در مورد يك حقيقت واحد است، وقتي هدف همه تلاش هاي بشريت يكي است، جاي تفاوت و اختلافات كجا است؟ راه ها گوناگون اند، اما مقصد يكي و يكسان است...
