Local media reported that Adel Galous and Adham Nassouf, a leader in the β€œTripoli Revolutionaries Brigade,” were released after serving several years in Mitiga prison in the capital, Tripoli, on charges of smuggling and extortion.

To celebrate his release, Galous threw a large amount of money from the balcony of his home in the Ghot Al-Shaal area of Tripoli.

The circulated videos showed a large crowd of citizens gathered below the building, scrambling to catch the thrown banknotes, causing significant congestion in the street where he resides.
