The journey of an Egyptian woman who lost her family when she was a young child when she was living in Damanhour, Beheira Governorate, ended with them being found thanks to the “Missing Children” page on Facebook.

The woman, named Sabreen, left the family home after her father’s death, and found herself after a long journey in Cairo, where she remained missing for decades.

After years of waiting and searching, fate led her to share her story with the “Missing Children” page, which allowed one of her relatives to identify her through a photo posted on the Internet and then report that the details matched.

The first moment of meeting between Sabreen and her family was filled with strong emotions and tears, as she could not believe that her long search had finally resulted in her reuniting with her family.
