Chinese Defense Ministry spokesman Zhang Xiaogang has criticized NATO, describing it as a “source of discord” that has sparked wars in several countries.

In a press briefing, Zhang said: “NATO is a machine that sows the chaos of war. This machine has brought the fires of war and disaster to the countries and peoples of Ukraine, Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya.”

He explained that NATO continues to extend its influence to the Asia-Pacific region, noting that the alliance is attacking China and encouraging some countries in the region to follow its approach.
