Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly announced plans to boost Egyptian exports to reach $145 billion annually by 2030.

During the announcement of the comprehensive strategy to support industry and stimulate economic growth, Madbouly stressed the government’s commitment to supporting businessmen and facilitating the necessary procedures to enhance the competitiveness of Egyptian exports.

Madbouly said that it was agreed with the export councils to increase export growth rates by 15%, in order to achieve the desired goals, stressing the importance of industry as a key engine for development, and full support for investors wishing to engage in the Egyptian market.

The Central Agency for Mobilization and Statistics reported that the volume of trade exchange between Egypt and the Arab countries decreased to $ 26 billion during 2023, compared to $ 29.5 billion in 2022.

The data showed that the value of Egyptian exports to Arab countries reached $ 13.6 billion during 2023, compared to $ 12.5 billion during 2022.

Saudi Arabia topped the list of Arab countries that imported from Egypt with a value of $ 2.7 billion during 2023, followed by the UAE with $ 2.2 billion, Libya with $ 1.8 billion, Sudan with $ 984.4 million, and Algeria with $ 850.3 million.

The agency pointed out that the most important Egyptian commodity groups exported to Arab countries during 2023 were vegetables and fruits with a value of $ 1.

Egypt’s exports of pearls, precious stones and jewelry ranked first on the list of the largest imports to the UAE recently, according to data from the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics.

The data revealed that Egypt’s pearl exports to the UAE amounted to about $260.3 million last April, compared to $15.9 million in April 2023, representing an increase of $244.4 million.

The data showed that the value of trade exchange between Egypt and the UAE rose to $1 billion during the first quarter of 2024, compared to $901.6 million in the same period of 2023, an increase of 12.5%.

The value of Egyptian exports to the UAE recorded $380.1 million during the first quarter of 2024, a slight increase of 0.3% compared to $379 million in the same period of the previous year.

Major General Sherif El Mawardy, Chairman of the Egyptian General Authority for Exhibitions, announced the organization of the “Made in Egypt” exhibition in the Russian capital, Moscow, in 2025.

The exhibition aims to promote Egyptian products in foreign markets and increase the volume of Egyptian exports.

This announcement came during the preparatory conference for the Arab-African Investment and International Cooperation Summit, which was held today at the Egyptian Authority for Exhibitions.

El Mawardy explained that the upcoming exhibition will be held in cooperation with the Arab Women Investors Union, on the sidelines of the annual summit of the union.
