🇮🇳 АУЛЬЯНГ: ФЕСТИВАЛЬ ОХОТНИКОВ ЗА ГОЛОВАМИ НАГА КОНЬЯК💀
🌏 Друзья, на днях стартовала экспедиция в Ирак. Мзунгу неуловим! 🌪
А мы продолжаем рассказывать об экспедиции Мзунгу в Северо-Восточную Индию.
💀 Квинтэссенцией этого только что завершившегося путешествия стал главный ежегодный фестиваль (уже 4-ый фестиваль за эту поездку!) Аульянг у племени нага коньяк.
🌱Каждый год коньяки собираются в Моне и окрестных деревнях и на протяжении 7 дней празднуют наступление весны и нового сезона земледелия.
В деревне Хонгфой, близ границы с Мьянмой, собралось несколько сотен участников; центральной сценой фестиваля были конечно же знаменитые старики — охотники за головами. Их в деревне осталось менее 20.
Нага коньяк знамениты традицией хедхантинга - добычи голов своих врагов.
Каждый воин проявлял храбрость, срубая в бою головы врагов из соседних деревень. Череп обрабатывался и выставлялся на всеобщее обозрение в общинном доме Морунг, как символ силы деревни и ее защитников. А сам хедхантер овладевал энергией побеждённого человека, поскольку коньяки верят, что вселенская сила и энергия заключается в головах людей. В знак проявления доблести, в дополнение к татуировке на груди, воин получал татуировку на все лицо. Медальоны на шее с количеством голов символизируют и буквально отражают количество добытых в бою голов.
Эта традиция практиковалась до середины 1970-х годов и была прекращена.
Татуировки воинов остались только у стариков, чья численность во всех деревнях в районе Мона на сегодня составляет, вероятно, около сотни, и стремительно снижается.
Северо-Восточная Индия остаётся одним из самых уникальных мест на планете для этнографа и фотографа.

🇮🇳 AOLEANG: NAGA KONYAK HEAD HUNTERS FESTIVAL💀
🌍 Dear, friends, the expedition to Iraq has started a few days ago. Mzungu is uncatchable! 💥
And we continue to talk about Mzungu's expedition to Northeast India.
💀The quintessential part of this just completed trip was the main Aoleang annual festival (already the 4th festival for this trip!) by the Naga Konyak tribe.
🌱Each year, the Konyaks gather in Mona and surrounding villages and for 7 days celebrate the arrival of spring and the new farming season.
The village of Hongfoy, near the border with Myanmar, attracted several hundred participants; the center stage of the festival was of course the famous old men, the Head Hunters. There were fewer than 20 of them left in the village.
The Naga Konyak are famous for the tradition of headhunting - collecting the heads of their enemies.
Each warrior showed courage by cutting off the heads of enemies from neighboring villages in battle. The skull was carved and displayed for all to see in the community house of Morung, as a symbol of the strength of the village and its defenders. And the headhunter himself possessed the energy of the defeated man. The Konyaks believe that the universal power and energy concetraited in the heads of men. As a sign of showing valor, in addition to the tattoo on his chest, the warrior received a tattoo on his entire face. Medallions on the neck with the number of heads symbolize and literally reflect the number of heads gained in battle.
This tradition has been practiced until the mid-1970s and was discontinued.
Warrior tattoos remain only among the elderly, whose numbers in all the villages in the Mona area are now probably around a hundred, and are rapidly declining.
Northeast India remains one of the most unique places on the planet for ethnographers and photographers.
