Племя дасанеч на юго-западе Эфиопии, а также в пограничных областях Кении и Южного Судана некогда сложилось как этническая группа в результате объединения изгнанников из других племён долины Омо и региона озера Туркана. За это ряд других воинствующих племён именуют их гэлеба, что означает «бездомные».
Высшим выражением мужской красоты являются вульгарные поперечные шрамы во всю грудь и спину, напоминающие крокодиловую кожу. Такие шрамы наносятся воину, героически проявившему себя в бою, убившему врага в результате племенных войн за скот.
Церемониально мужчины наносят на тело содержимое коровьего желудка - не до конца переваренную скотом пищу, а также глину. Навоз достают из желудка забитой коровы.
Мужчины дасанеч на церемонии Димми, объявляющие своих дочерей готовыми к замужеству, после ритуального обрезания девочек, не мыслят свой внешний вид без шкуры леопарда и пышного головного убора из страусиных перьев. Шкура символизирует силу и достаток семьи и намёк на дорогой выкуп невесты, а страусиные перья идентифицируют принадлежность отца к определенному клану.

The Daasanach tribe in southwestern Ethiopia, as well as in the neighboring regions of Kenya and South Sudan, once was formed as an ethnic group by integration of outcasts from other tribes of the Omo Valley and the region of Lake Turkana. For this, some other rival tribes call them Geleba, which means "homeless."
The highest expression of male beauty is the vulgar transverse scars across the entire chest and back, resembling crocodile skin. Such scars are inflicted on a body of the warrior who showed himself heroically in battle, who killed the enemy in course of tribal cattle raids.
During the ceremonies men apply to the body clay and the contents of a cow's stomach - not completely digested cattle food. Dung is taken from the stomach of a slaughtered cow.

✡️ Знаменитые бои на палках Донга в племени сурма! Здесь бьются не на шутку, и побеждает сильнейший! Это своего рода инициация, церемония становления мальчиков настоящими мужчинами.
🔯 Церемония прыжков через быков у хамер. Основное действо мероприятия – прыжки по спинам быков. Тем самым юноша демонстрирует, что он достоин жениться и завести семью.
Этот уникальный опыт навсегда останется в памяти наших отъявленных путешественников!

✡️ BULL JUMPING CEREMONY in the Hamer tribe. The main action is when the young boy takes a leap and steps on bull’s back. He demonstrates that he is ready to build a family on his own. So fascinating!
