Nowadays people depend on technology in their free time.
Is this a positive or negative development?

People are increasingly using technology in their leisure time. There are some positive effects associated with this change, such as instant access to entertainment and chance for staying connected. However, this development is mostly negative as it can lead to sedentary lifestyle and addiction.

With technology, whole new types of entertainment are at our fingertips. People can watch movies, play games, listen to music, and surf social media from the comfort of their home. By contrast, alternative ways, such as going to the cinema, concerts, and playing outdoor games, would require time, money and energy. Another positive is the opportunity to socialize. Whether it be talking to a relative, sending a video to a friend, or checking up on colleagues, the internet allows people to keep in touch despite geographical boundaries.

Despite this, I tend to view this trend negatively. The main concern is the health issues that may result from spending too much time with technology. When people use technology in their free time, they naturally spend less time on exercise. The lack of physical activity has long been associated with several health problems, ranging from poor posture to more severe conditions like obesity and eye sight deterioration. Even worse, people can form addiction. The excessive usage of the internet in free time, for example, can lead to dependence on it. As a result, the urge to check notifications while working or studying can result in divided attention, ultimately impacting people’s overall productivity.

In conclusion, technology does offer some benefits for those who use it in their free time, such the easy access to entertainment and socializing. That said, the overall impact of such a habit is undesirable as it can affect people’s physical as well as mental well-being.

I had been waiting for this change for years!
Teaching at university will be even more interesting and intriguing from now on. We (university professors) should worker harder since our decisions may affect our students’ finances. I am really looking forward to seeing this legislation working in higher educational institutions.

SPEAKING SAMPLE ANSWER:
Describe your dream city.

My dream city is a place where the past and future coexist in perfect harmony. It is a city that is rich in history and culture, but also embraces innovation and progress. It is a city where people from all walks of life can live together in peace and harmony.

The architecture of my dream city is a blend of old and new. There are historic buildings that have been lovingly preserved, alongside modern skyscrapers that reach for the sky. The streets are wide and clean, and there are plenty of green spaces where people can relax and enjoy the outdoors.

My dream city is a cultural hub. There are museums, theaters, and art galleries to cater to every taste. There is also a thriving music scene, with live music venues of all sizes. The city's cuisine is a melting pot of flavors from around the world, and there are restaurants to suit every budget.

But my dream city is more than just a beautiful place to live. It is also a city where people are happy and prosperous. The city government is committed to providing its citizens with a high quality of life. There are excellent schools and hospitals, and the city is safe and secure.

My dream city is a place where I can be myself and reach my full potential. It is a city where I can live a happy and fulfilling life.

In my dream city, there would be no poverty or homelessness. Everyone would have access to affordable housing, healthcare, and education. The city would be clean and safe, with plenty of green spaces and opportunities for recreation.

My dream city would be a place where people from all over the world would want to live. It would be a city of hope and opportunity, where anything is possible.
Staring at the ceiling, tryna fight the feeling
Deep inside your heart, you know it isn't what it was
Anxiety is growing like fog over the ocean
Hoping we shouldn't pray and that it's gone when you get up
You could try to wrestle with the mirror
But the truth, it can't be any clearer than that
You've been fighting it off just like a fever
But there's no use holding it back
Sometimes you need the rain
To know you miss the sun
Sometimes you need the pain
To know it isn't love
Sometimes the one you hold
You gotta let 'em go, you gotta let 'em go
You gotta let 'em go
Go
This isn't what you wanted, knots inside your stomach
Do you have to hurt 'em, so you don't hurt anymore?
You could try to wrestle with the mirror
But the truth, it can't be any clearer than that
You've been fighting it off just like a fever
But there's no use holding it back
Sometimes you need the rain
To know you miss the sun
Sometimes you need the pain
To know it isn't love
Sometimes the one you hold
You gotta let 'em go, you gotta let 'em go
You gotta let 'em go
You gotta let 'em go
You gotta let 'em go
You gotta let 'em go
You gotta let 'em go
Ohh
When what hurts and what's right are the same
When it kills you to leave or to stay
When there's nothing to fix and nothing left to save, hmm
You gotta let 'em go, hm-mm
You gotta let 'em go, hm-mm
You gotta let 'em go, hm-mm
You gotta let 'em go
You gotta let 'em go
You gotta let 'em go
You gotta let 'em go
You gotta let 'em go
You gotta let 'em go
You gotta let 'em go
oh
(Ohh) ohh
