#DidYouKnow #EV batteries have a cooling system 🌬 to ensure that battery cells operate at optimal temperatures. 🌡🔋

#FunFact EV batteries perform better in warmer climates like sunny Singapore ☀️ than at low temperatures! ❄️

As we wrap up 2022, here's a quick look at some of our key electrification moves this year! 😉💚⚡️

Here's to a greener future ahead as we continue to #PowerEVeryMove with #ElectricVehicles. 🤩

#SGGreenPlan
#DidYouKnow EV charging lots are reserved only for those charging their #ElectricVehicles? 🔌🔋⚡️

After your charging session has ended, remember to move your vehicle away so that others can have their turn! 💚

#PowerEVeryMove #SGGreenPlan
#DidYouKnow The charging rate of your vehicle slows down after it is charged to 80%? 😯🔋

#ProTip Consider unplugging your #EV at 80% for a longer battery life! ⚡️ This will help to manage the longevity of the battery and allow it to perform at its optimal level.

#PowerEVeryMove #SGGreenPlan
Done charging your #ElectricVehicle? 🚗⚡️ #ProTip Secure the charging gun properly after use to prevent damage and risk of others tripping over loose wires!

Could “plastic” roads pave the way to a more sustainable greener future? 🤔💭🛣

In partnership with National University of Singapore (#NUS), we are trying out new road mixes by upcycling waste plastics on some roads! 🧴🛣️

There are two ongoing field trials at three locations:
1️⃣ Waste Plastics as Additives in LTA’s existing road mix where heavy vehicles 🚚 frequent at Jalan Buroh. In fact, our earlier tests here have shown an impressive 30% improved road performance compared to the existing mixes! 😱

2️⃣ New Bituminous-Plastic Composite mixes at segments along West Coast Highway and PIE 🏍️. If successful, this new road mixes are expected to perform better than or comparable to LTA’s existing road mixes in terms of:
✔️ Improved urban cooling, and
✔️ Reduced tyre-pavement noise!

Hurray to a greener and more sustainable Singapore!

#GoodNews 2,000 more #EV charging points will be installed in HDB carparks island wide by the end of this year under our large-scale tender. The first batch of these chargers were launched at Telok Blangah and Boon Lay today! 🥳 Under this tender, at least 12,000 charging points will be installed across some 2,000 HDB carparks by 2025. ⚡️🚗

To help oversee the deployment of charging points in our public carparks, a new LTA subsidiary – EV-Electric Charging Pte Ltd (#EVe) – has been set up. Specifically, EVe will partner the industry and relevant agencies to:
1️⃣ Manage the deployment of charging points, and
2️⃣ Coordinate the upgrading of supporting electrical infrastructure for EV charging.

#DidYouKnow By 2030, there will be 60,000 charging points installed in carparks islandwide? #NowYouKnow ⚡️🔋

In fact, most of them will be located in public #HDB carparks, making it even more convenient for you to charge your #ElectricVehicle!

#PressPlay to find out what prompted these #EV drivers to make the switch and their experience with charging their vehicles in Singapore! 📹

#PowerEVeryMove #SGGreenPlan
#GoodNews You can now conveniently charge your #ElectricVehicles (EVs) at over 700 carparks across all HDB towns and estates! 🥳🙌

With one in three HDB carparks now EV-ready ⚡️🔌, we’re on track to deploying #EV chargers across 2,000 HDB carparks islandwide by 2025 under our large-scale tender.

We’ve also launched the first batch of fast chargers at HDB Hub in Toa Payoh and Oasis Terraces in Punggol under this tender. These chargers will complement the daily routine of taxi, private hire car and commercial fleet drivers by providing them with an option for a quick charge on-the-go. 🚕

#Reminder All new diesel car and taxi registrations will no longer be allowed from 1 Jan 2025. 🚫🚗

From 2030, these registrations must be of cleaner-energy models to support Singapore’s vision for all vehicles to run on cleaner energy by 2040. 🌱

Diesel cars registered before 1 Jan 2025 can renew their #COE, but will be subject to higher road taxes as a disincentive to discourage renewal.
