#Reminder 📢 To facilitate additional maintenance works, train services on 7️⃣ stations along the Circle Line (#CCL) will run on only one platform from 9pm daily via a shuttle service from today till 20 July 2023.

Do plan your journeys ahead as additional travel time of up to 30 min might be needed. 🚶‍♀️
#Reminder For your own safety, you are strongly encouraged to use licensed business platforms when booking car- and motorcycle-pooling services. 🚗🏍️

Licensed operators have:
Established screening and safety processes to ensure the legitimacy of their drivers; as well as

Insurance coverage 🤕 and trip records 📝 for investigative purposes when traffic accidents or driver-passenger disputes arise.

Car-pooling trips made through other platforms such as #WhatsApp or #Telegram chat groups, do not have such safeguards.

#Warning ⚠️ Those convicted of providing illegal vehicle-pooling services, or using an unlicensed vehicle, could face up to $3,000 in fines and/or up to 6 months imprisonment.

Four drivers were booked in recent enforcement activity against those providing illegal cross-border chauffeured services between Singapore and Malaysia. 🚙🚗

We strongly discourage 🙅‍♂️ the public in engaging cross-border hire-and-reward services provided by persons using unlicensed vehicles as you may not be entitled to insurance recourse in the event of a traffic accident.

#Reminder Drivers who are caught providing hire-and-reward services, including cross-border services without a valid Public Service Vehicle License (#PSVL), can be fined up to $3,000, imprisoned for up to six months, or both. The vehicle used may also be forfeited.
During our recent enforcement operation, four drivers were caught providing illegal cross-border chauffeured services between Singapore and Malaysia.

#PSA We take these offences very seriously. For your own safety, do refrain from using such services. Besides being illegal, the vehicles used may not be sufficiently insured against third party liabilities which could pose a serious problem for passengers should an accident occur.

#Reminder ⚠️ From today, 1 March, you’ll have to adhere to a set of new rules if you’re intending to use cargo bicycles and tricycles, rider-only tricycles or recumbents on our public paths and roads!

➡️ All devices need to comply to the prescribed length, width and weight requirements. In addition, motorised cargo bicycles and tricycles, rider-only tricycles and recumbents are NOT allowed on paths and roads.

👀 Read on for more info on the new rules! 😎
Over the past 2 weeks, LTA and the Traffic Police carried out joint operations to enforce against errant cyclists on roads and non-compliant active mobility devices.

Around 20 cyclists were caught for offences including riding in a group size larger than 10 and riding non-compliant devices.

Cyclists should ensure that:
1️⃣ their devices comply with existing requirements;
2️⃣ they observe group length limit i.e 5 cyclists in a single file, or 10 cyclists riding two abreast and maintain a minimum distance of 30m or 2 lamp posts between groups on the roads

LTA will continue to enforce against errant active mobility users who endanger others with their irresponsible behaviour.

#Reminder All active mobility device users must adhere to road traffic and active mobility rules at all times. Find out more about the rules and guidelines for safe cycling here ➡️: go.gov.sg/amrules
#DidYouKnow From 8 June 2024, all EV chargers must be registered before they can be used to ensure compliance with LTA's safety requirements.

#Reminder Register your EV chargers at go.gov.sg/existing-ev-charger.

Over the past two weeks, our #ActiveMobility enforcement officers (#AMEOs) conducted a series of operations against errant active mobility users at various locations such as Boon Lay, Central Boulevard, Marine Parade, Punggol, Tanjong Rhu and Yishun.

A total of 30 offences were detected during these operations. These included the use of non-compliant devices (Personal Mobility Devices and Power-Assisted Bicycles) and riding of devices on wrong paths.

#Reminder Active mobility users should comply with all requirements on go.gov.sg/amrules when using their devices.

To ensure the safety of all path and road users, we will continue to enforce against errant active mobility users including those who use non-compliant devices. Non-compliant devices will be impounded immediately for safety reasons. #ProtectorOfPaths
#Reminder All new diesel car and taxi registrations will no longer be allowed from 1 Jan 2025. 🚫🚗

From 2030, these registrations must be of cleaner-energy models to support Singapore’s vision for all vehicles to run on cleaner energy by 2040. 🌱

Diesel cars registered before 1 Jan 2025 can renew their #COE, but will be subject to higher road taxes as a disincentive to discourage renewal.
