Over the past 2 weeks, LTA and the Traffic Police carried out joint operations to enforce against errant cyclists on roads and non-compliant active mobility devices.

Around 20 cyclists were caught for offences including riding in a group size larger than 10 and riding non-compliant devices.

Cyclists should ensure that:
1️⃣ their devices comply with existing requirements;
2️⃣ they observe group length limit i.e 5 cyclists in a single file, or 10 cyclists riding two abreast and maintain a minimum distance of 30m or 2 lamp posts between groups on the roads

LTA will continue to enforce against errant active mobility users who endanger others with their irresponsible behaviour.

#Reminder All active mobility device users must adhere to road traffic and active mobility rules at all times. Find out more about the rules and guidelines for safe cycling here ➡️: go.gov.sg/amrules
#DidYouKnow From 8 June 2024, all EV chargers must be registered before they can be used to ensure compliance with LTA's safety requirements.

#Reminder Register your EV chargers at go.gov.sg/existing-ev-charger.

Our East-West Line (#EWL) trains can now turn around faster with the new Pasir Ris rail turnback! 🔁🚆💚

#FunFact The turnback uses a diamond crossover track to reduce the time taken for the trains to turn back and run in the other bound. #WhatAGem 💎

This means that the infrastructure is now in place to provide for reduced headways and shorter wait time between trains, when the need arises. 💪

Cheers to greater convenience and connectivity as we continue to improve our rail infrastructure! 🤗 #ThereRailBeMore
When it comes to our ERP system, some of you may be wondering "if it ain't broken, why fix it?". The reality is that the existing ERP system is reaching the end of its operational lifespan and we need to replace it.

ERP 2.0 can continue to facilitate congestion management and offers the added benefit of not requiring physical gantries. It can also support the option to implement distance-based charging in future. This could potentially allow for an increase in our total vehicle population while keeping congestion in check.

Motorists will also benefit from more information such as real-time traffic incident updates.

The transition to ERP 2.0 is a major exercise involving vehicles with different designs and specifications. We will continue to take in feedback from motorists, workshops and dealers to further enhance the user experience for all motorists.
#DoYouKnow that there is actually no need for you to remove your card from your OBU when driving? Here's why.
As we progress with the phased installation of the OBU for ERP 2.0, we have been making enhancements to provide motorists with more choice, convenience, and safety.

Here're some options you can have about the installation of your OBU.

#PSA For those of you who are wondering about whether the OBU would drain your car battery, the short answer is no. When the vehicle ignition is turned off, the OBU will also switch to sleep mode, which is even lower than the power drawn by the IU today.
