The Youngest Champions of the Continent Were Determined in Batumi
🇬🇪 Today, in Batumi, at the Mukhran Vakhtangadze Sports Palace, the first day of the European Kurash Championship among seniors, cadets, and juniors concluded with the junior competitions.
🔰Nearly 150 young Kurash athletes from 19 countries competed fiercely in 19 weight categories for the continental championship. The first half of the day featured qualification rounds, followed by the official opening ceremony at 4:00 PM local time.
❗️In solemn moments, Shalva Gogoladze, Minister of Sport of Georgia Adkham Ikramov, Minister of Sport of the Republic of Uzbekistan and First Vice-President of the International Kurash Association Merampi Iliadis, President of the European Kurash Confederation Maya Khajishvili, Minister of Education and Sport of Adjara, Archil Chikovani Mayor of Batumi, took part in the ceremony as a guest of honor.
🎙The national flags of the participating countries were presented with a ceremony. Officials took the floor to wish all athletes luck, fair competition, and success. They particularly emphasized how interest in Kurash is growing daily in Georgia and highlighted the country’s leadership’s comprehensive support for sports development.

В Батуми определились самые молодые чемпионы древнего континента
🇬🇪 Сегодня в Батуми, во Дворце спорта имени Мухрана Вахтангадзе, завершился первый день чемпионата Европы по Кураш среди взрослых, кадетов и юниоров соревнованиями юниоров.
🔰В 19 весовых категориях за континентальное первенство боролись около 150 юных курашистов из 19 стран. В первой половине дня прошли отборочные туры, после которых в 16:00 по местному времени состоялась официальная церемония открытия.
❗️В торжественных минутах в качестве почетных гостей в церемонии приняли участие министр спорта Грузии Шалва Гоголадзе, министр спорта Республики Узбекистан и первый вице-президент Международной ассоциации Кураш Адхам Икрамов, президент Европейской конфедерации Кураш Мерампи Илиадис, министр образования и спорта Аджарии Майя Хаджишвили, мэр Батуми Арчил Чиковани.
🎙Торжественно были представлены национальные флаги стран-участниц. Официальные лица выступили с пожеланиями всем спортсменам удачи, честной борьбы и успехов. Они особо подчеркнули, как интерес к Кураш в Грузии растет с каждым днем, и отметили всестороннюю поддержку страны развитию спорта.

Friendship ties are strengthening through Kurash
🇰🇷 A warm and meaningful meeting took place at the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Seoul, South Korea. The event was attended by Bae Hyeong-Sik, President of the Korea Kurash Federation, and Alisher Abdusalomov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to South Korea.
The discussions focused on preparations for the upcoming Asian Kurash Championship for seniors, cadets and juniors, which will be held in Cheongju from July 30 to August 5 of this year. This prestigious continental competition is not only significant for the development of sports but also serves as a vivid example of cultural rapprochement.
♻️During the meeting, it was noted that interest in Kurash has been growing in Korea in recent years, and that this sport is being supported at the state-level. The establishment of regional federations across the country and the regular organisation of competitions are clear evidence of this.
❗️Bae Hyeong-Sik expressed his readiness to further strengthen cooperation with the Embassy of Uzbekistan, emphasising the importance of the embassy’s support in ensuring the high-level organisation of future tournaments.

🇰🇷 Теплая и содержательная встреча состоялась в посольстве Республики Узбекистан в Сеуле, Южная Корея. В мероприятии приняли участие Президент Корейской Федерации Кураш Бэ Хён Сик и Чрезвычайный и Полномочный Посол Узбекистана в Южной Корее Алишер Абдусаломов.
Обсуждение было сосредоточено на подготовке к предстоящему чемпионату Азии по Кураш среди взрослых, кадетов и юниоров, который пройдет в Чхонджу с 30 июля по 5 августа этого года. Это престижное континентальное соревнование не только имеет важное значение для развития спорта, но и служит ярким примером культурного сближения.
♻️В ходе встречи было отмечено, что в последние годы в Корее растет интерес к Кураш, и этот вид спорта поддерживается на государственном уровне. Создание региональных федераций по всей стране и регулярная организация соревнований являются ярким тому подтверждением.

🇹🇯Бугун Халқаро Кураш ассоциацияси (IKA) бош қароргоҳида Тожикистон Кураш федерацияси вакиллари — Зуҳуршоҳ Нурмахматов ҳамда “Varzish TV” телеканали журналисти Муродали Тешоев меҳмон бўлишди.

🇹🇯Today the Headquarters of the International Kurash Association (IKA) was visited by representatives of the Kurash Federation of Tajikistan Zuhursho Nurmahmatov and journalist of the TV channel “Varzish” Murodali Teshaev.
The guests were welcomed by the Head of the IKA Administration Mansur Mirzaev. During the visit, the guests familiarized themselves with the International Kurash Museum and discussed the development of the sport of Kurash in Tajikistan.
📌For reference: Zuhursho Nurmahmatov was the President of the Kurash Federation of Tajikistan for several years. Currently he is the Head of the Sambo Federation of Tajikistan.
At the end of the visit, the guests met with IKA General Secretary Mohammad Reza Nassiri.
