The Congress of the European Kurash Confederation was held in Batumi

🇬🇪Today, on April 11, the Congress of the European Kurash Confederation was held in Batumi, a city recognized as the tourist center of Georgia.
This major sporting event, with its international significance, attracted Kurash fans not only from Europe, but also from all over the world. Important decisions were adopted during the Congress on new initiatives for the development of sports, new areas of cooperation and future competitions.
🎙Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Congress, the Minister of Sports of Georgia Shalva Gogoladze and the Minister of Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan Adkham Ikramov, in their speeches, emphasised the importance of mutual cooperation in achieving high goals in sports. They expressed their views on the new achievements of the European Kurash Confederation and changes in the field of sports. The ministers spoke, in particular, about their plans to popularise Kurash among young people and support it at the state level.
❗️The Congress was also attended by the President of the European Kurash Confederation, Merampi Iliadis, Vice-President of the International Kurash Association, Ziyoviddin Khodjiniyazov, IKA General Secretary Mohammad Reza Nassiri, Head of the IKA Administration Mansur Mirzaev, Confederation leaders, Presidents of European Kurash Federations and delegates.
📝The calendar of international and regional competitions to be held in 2026 was also discussed. It was announced that the Confederation would issue an additional official announcement on the dates of the competitions to be accepted and agreements with the participating countries by the end of this year.

В Батуми прошел Конгресс Европейской Конфедерации Кураш

🇬🇪Сегодня, 11 апреля, в Батуми, городе, признанном туристическим центром Грузии, прошел Конгресс Европейской Конфедерации Кураш.
Это крупное спортивное событие, имеющее международное значение, привлекло любителей Кураш не только из Европы, но и со всего мира. В ходе Конгресса были приняты важные решения о новых инициативах по развитию спорта, новых направлениях сотрудничества и будущих соревнованиях.
🎙Выступая на церемонии открытия Конгресса, Министр спорта Грузии Шалва Гоголадзе и Министр спорта Республики Узбекистан Адхам Икрамов в своих выступлениях подчеркнули важность взаимного сотрудничества в достижении высоких спортивных целей. Они высказали свое мнение о новых достижениях Европейской Конфедерации Кураш и изменениях в сфере спорта. Министры рассказали, в частности, о своих планах по популяризации Кураш среди молодежи и его поддержке на государственном уровне.
❗️В работе Конгресса также приняли участие Президент Европейской Конфедерации Кураш Мерамп Илиадис, Вице-президент Международной Ассоциации Кураш Зиёвиддин Ходжиниязов, Генеральный Секретарь IKA Мохаммад Реза Нассири, Глава Администрации IKA Мансур Мирзаев, руководители Конфедерации, Президенты европейских федераций Кураш и делегаты.
📝Также обсуждался календарь международных и региональных соревнований, которые пройдут в 2026 году. Было объявлено, что Конфедерация выпустит дополнительное официальное объявление о датах принимаемых соревнований и соглашениях со странами-участницами до конца текущего года.

Merampi Iliadis Honored During the Major Kurash Event in Europe

🎖As part of the European Kurash Championship taking place in Batumi, Georgia, a significant and symbolic award ceremony was held by the Minister of Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan and First Vice President of the International Kurash Association, Adkham Ikramov.
Within the framework of the ordinary Congress of the European Kurash Confederation, the President of this organization, as well as the Vice-president of the International Kurash Association, Merampi Iliadis, was awarded the medal”Excellent in Physical Culture and Sports” of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
This prestigious national award was presented in recognition of Merampi Iliadis’s fruitful cooperation with Uzbek sports officials, his efforts in widely promoting the sport of Kurash in Europe and globally, and his contributions to establishing a healthy lifestyle through sports.
🇬🇷Merampi Iliadis is a prominent sports figure based in Greece. Since 2011, he has been serving as the President of the European Kurash Confederation. He is also the Vice-president of the International Kurash Association and a representative of the International Sambo Federation. Thanks to his initiatives, Kurash has been developing and holding official competitions in more than 20 European countries.
📌The ceremony was attended by heads from the International Kurash Association, the Ministry of Sports of Georgia, representatives of several national federations from across Europe, official delegates, and sports journalists.

🎖В рамках чемпионата Европы по Кураш, проходящего в Батуми, Грузия, состоялась знаменательная и символическая церемония награждения, которую провели Министр спорта Республики Узбекистан и Первый Вице-президент Международной Ассоциации Кураш Адхам Икрамов.
