🇺🇿Бугун Халқаро Кураш ассоциацияси бош қароргоҳига IKA Техник директори, Ҳиндистон Кураш ассоциацияси президенти Ravi Kapoor ташриф буюрди.

Technical Meeting Held at the IKA Headquarters

🇺🇿A technical meeting was held today at the headquarters of the International Kurash Association (IKA).
Ravi Kapoor, Technical Director of the International Kurash Association (IKA) and President of the Indian Kurash Association, paid an official visit to the IKA headquarters.

♻️Within the framework of the visit, a practical meeting was organized with the participation of IKA General Secretary Mohammad Reza Nassiri, Head of the IKA Administration Mansur Mirzaev, Rector of the International Kurash Institute Mr. K. Tadjiev, and Chairman of the Refereeing Board of the Kurash Federation of Uzbekistan Khikmat Kurtov.

❗️During the meeting, participants discussed in detail the implementation process of the new “Challenge” rule, which is currently being tested to be proposed to the congress. In addition, matters related to the organization of international competitions, refereeing activities in Kurash contests, and the application of the evaluation and warning system were reviewed through practical case studies.
In particular, an analytical exchange of views took place regarding referees’ performance at the Asian Youth Cup competitions held yesterday in the city of Urgench.

🗓2025 йил 18 июнь куни туркманистонлик спортчи Dayanch Omirovдан олинган допинг-намуна таҳлиллари натижасида намуна таркибида Meldonium ҳамда Metandienone моддаси метаболити аниқлангани муносабати билан спортчи вақтинчалик мусобақалардан четлаштирилган эди.

🚫Куни кеча International Testing Agency (ITA) томонидан қабул қилинган санкция қарорига мувофиқ, мазкур спортчи 2025 йил 23 июль санасидан бошлаб 6 йил муддатга — 2031 йил 22 июлга қадар дисквалификация қилинди.

Official Statement of the International Kurash Association

💊The International Kurash Association (IKA), strictly adhering to international anti-doping regulations, announces the following.

🗓On 18 June 2025, as a result of the analysis of a doping sample taken from Turkmen athlete Dayanch Omirov, the presence of Meldonium and a metabolite of Metandienone was detected in the sample, in connection with which the athlete had been provisionally suspended from competitions.

🚫Yesterday, in accordance with the sanction decision adopted by the International Testing Agency (ITA), the said athlete was disqualified for a period of 6 years, starting from 23 July 2025 until 22 July 2031.

📌It is reported that during the coming week, the International Kurash Association will consider the issue of applying additional disciplinary measures against the athlete and the relevant national federation in relation to this case.

🔰The IKA will consistently continue its firm policy aimed at ensuring compliance with international anti-doping regulations and protecting the principles of fair and clean sport.

For the first time, the Asian Open Cup in Kurash will be held in Nukus

🇺🇿On 22–25 May 2026, in the city of Nukus of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the Asian Cup competition in Kurash among seniors (men and women) will take place.

📍This prestigious competition, being organised for the first time on the basis of the calendar plan of the International Kurash Association, will bring together the best Kurash players of Asia in one arena and will serve to further strengthen the international prestige of the sport of Kurash. The bouts are planned to be held at the sports complex of Sports School No. 1 in the city of Nukus.

💵The competition, with a total prize fund of 21,000 US dollars, will also serve as an opportunity to earn key ranking points for the World Series Pro international tournament.

♻️This prestigious continental Cup competition is being organised by the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the Uzbekistan Kurash Federation, in cooperation with the International Kurash Association.

🇺🇿Бугун 22 апрель куни Чирчиқ шаҳридаги Ўзбекистон давлат жисмоний тарбия ва спорт университетида “Кураш спортини ривожлантиришнинг назарий-амалий аспектлари” мавзусида халқаро илмий-амалий анжуман бўлиб ўтди. Спорт вазирлиги, ЎзДЖТСУ, Халқаро кураш институти ва Халқаро кураш ассоциацияси ҳамкорлигида ташкил этилган тадбирда соҳанинг етакчи олимлари ҳамда 15 дан ортиқ давлатдан 30 нафардан зиёд хорижий мутахассис иштирок этди.

📑Анжуманда таъкидланганидек, Ўзбекистон Республикаси Президенти Шавкат Мирзиёевнинг курашни ривожлантиришга қаратилган қарорлари миллий спорт туримизнинг халқаро нуфузини янада мустаҳкамлашга хизмат қилмоқда. International scientific seminar dedicated to the scientific and methodological development of Kurash

🇺🇿Today, on 22 April, an international scientific-practical conference on the topic “Theoretical and practical aspects of the development of Kurash” was held at the Uzbek State University of Physical Education and Sport in the city of Chirchik. The event, organised in cooperation with the Ministry of Sports, the university, the International Kurash Institute, and the International Kurash Association, was attended by leading scholars in the field as well as more than 30 foreign specialists from over 15 countries.

📑As emphasised during the conference, the decisions of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, aimed at developing Kurash are serving to further strengthen the international prestige of our national sport. In particular, systematic work is being carried out in the training of coaches and referees, their promotion to the international arena, and in turning Kurash into a global sports brand.

♻️The conference was attended by Deputy Minister of Sports Shakhrillo Makhmudov, IKA General Secretary Mohammad Reza Nassiri, Technical Director Ravi Kapoor, Head of Administration Mansur Mirzaev, Rector of the International Kurash Institute Khabibulla Tadjiev, First Deputy Chairman of the Kurash Federation of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Kadirov, and Vice-Rector of the university Eldor Rakhmonov.
Within the framework of the event, foreign experts delivered lectures on modern biomechanics, 3D analysis technologies, and Kurash pedagogy.

📌Additionally, international Category “B” licensing sessions enabled foreign coaches to study the finer points of Kurash directly in its homeland, marking another important step in the sport’s scientifically grounded global development.

📍Today, in the second half of the day, the practical stage of the international kurash trainers' seminar began at the kurash complex of the Uzbek State University of Physical Education and Sports.

Kurash Trainings are continuing at the "New Uzbekistan" Olympic City

📚The second day of the practical phase of the "Three-Month Online Course" organised for international Kurash coaches continued at the modern sports complex of the Olympic City located in the "New Uzbekistan" area of Tashkent city.

🔴The training sessions were organised at a high level under the leadership of Mohammad Reza Nassiri, IKA General Secretary and Head of the IKI Scientific Department, with the participation of the institute's experienced experts Ajmal Ishaq Zai, Feruz Bobomuradov, and Shuhrat Qurbonov.

🏃‍♂️Initially, special warm-up exercises for athletes were conducted by Ajmal Isaq Zai. These exercises served to prepare the participants for the main technical processes.

♻️Following this, special attention was paid during the main part of the training to the in-depth study of techniques belonging to the "Bardor", "Chil", and "Supurma" groups of Kurash methods, and the rules for their correct application in practice.

📌These intensive training sessions create an important foundation for more than 25 foreign coaches to reinforce their theoretical knowledge with practical skills, as well as to successfully pass the examinations for the IKA's "B" category international coaching licence.
