Delayed Wage Payments at #Kish_Choob_Factory Leave Workers Struggling
Workers at Kish Choob Factory in Hormozgan Province have expressed their dissatisfaction over unpaid wages and benefits. One worker reported that although their wages for the months of November, December, and January have not been paid, their Solar Hijri New Year’s bonus for 2023 was recently deposited after a year-long delay.
The worker also highlighted the financial hardships and uncertainty faced by many of their colleagues who have migrated from various provinces to Kish Island for work. The delayed payments have severely affected both them and their families.
According to labor regulations and customary practices, all outstanding annual dues, including wages, severance pay, special occasion benefits, and year-end bonuses, are supposed to be paid to workers before the end of the year. However, these payments have yet to be settled, placing immense financial strain on the workforce.
The company has cited financial constraints as the reason for these delays, but workers argue that the New Year’s bonus should be paid at least a month before the year ends. The workers insist that any delay in fulfilling wage obligations is a violation of labor laws and an act of injustice. They demand that all outstanding payments be made in full before the end of March.
The workers at Kish Choob Factory continue to await decisive action from their employer to resolve the issue. They hope that relevant authorities will intervene and ensure that their overdue wages and benefits are paid without further delay.

#Barnaki_Coal_Mine Workers Protest Delayed Wages and Bonuses
On Tuesday, February 25, 2025, around 200 workers from the morning shift at Barnaki Coal Mine, a subsidiary of Alborz Sharghi Coal Mines, staged a protest against the delay in their February wages and end-of-year bonuses.
The protesting workers stated that the employer repeatedly promises to pay the overdue wages but has yet to fulfill these commitments. According to the workers, in previous years, the annual bonus was typically paid along with the February salary before the start of March. However, this year, no payments have been made. This delay, occurring just before the New Solar Hijri Year, has intensified financial difficulties for the workers and caused widespread dissatisfaction. So far, the employer has not issued an official response to the protest.

Second Day of Nurses' Protests at Arya Hospital in Ahvaz Over Wage Cuts
The second consecutive day of protests by nurses and administrative and service staff at Arya Hospital in Ahvaz on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, continues in response to salary and benefits reductions. Protesters, chanting slogans such as "Nurses’ livelihood, patients’ health," "Dollar inflation, Rial wages," and "Only being on streets ,fighting brings our Rights" are demanding improved working conditions, salary increases, and timely payment of wages. The primary reasons behind this protest include wage cuts, delayed payments, mandatory overtime without fair compensation, and a general disregard for the economic hardships faced by hospital staff. This protest has disrupted hospital services and gained significant support on social media.
Despite two days of demonstrations, hospital management has yet to issue an official response to the demands of the protesters. Some doctors and other hospital staff have expressed solidarity with the movement, while local officials have promised to address the grievances. However, the ongoing protests could further strain the healthcare system and impact patient care. Protesters have vowed to continue their demonstrations until their demands are met.
