下午2時起於港島將有民陣舉辦的元旦大遊行，起點為維多利亞公園，終點為遮打道行人專用區。
The New Year’s March organised by the Civil Human Rights Front will take place from 2pm starting from Victoria Park and ending at the Chater are pedestrian area.

People and police are standing off inside Wan Chai Station. Some people are being searched. Riot police have raised pepper spray cans.

The march is now arriving at Sheung Shui Station. The police are asking people to disperse immediately and have raised the Blue Flag on the footbridge.
🔰由於今日為規模較小的地區遊行，加上警方已大致完成布袋陣，請提防防暴突然從四方八面快速推進及圍捕。
As this was a small local demonstration, with fairly complete police preparations, please avoid situations where riot police may suddenly push forward from all direct and surround you.

About 1 hour before this announcement, someone threw a petrol bomb into Sheung Shui Police Station and the police fired a tear gas canister in response to disperse those responsible.

People subdued outside Sheung Shui Centre are gradually being taken away. Riot police with shields are rapidly deploying near Metropolis Plaza, but nobody has been seen to be arrested. The crowd are swearing at them.

A crowd that was surrounded by Metropolis Plaza are still being searched. It is not known if they are just being detained or are being arrested.
