At the midnight on 1st of July 1997, the then colonial Hong Kong was formally transferred from the Britain to Communist China. At the time, we were promised 50 years of autonomy, freedom and peace. Today marks the 25th year since the handover.
In the name of national security, the Chinese Communist Party seized absolute control of Hong Kong, crushing what is left of the diminishing voices for freedom since 2019.
Better or worse, is there still a tomorrow for Hong Kong?

黃之鋒入獄兩年 引歌詞言「我未有垮掉」 寄語港人面對困境默默耕耘
前香港眾志秘書長黃之鋒，至今11月23日已經在囚兩年，上月剛在牢獄渡過 26 歲生日。黃之鋒入獄雖久，世人未有遺忘他為民主自由的付出，在今年泰國舉辦的 APEC 年會，即有民眾上街抗議習近平抵達曼谷，舉維尼撐香港，並有「Free Hong Kong」（光復香港）、「Free Joshua Wong」（釋放黃之鋒）等標語。在囚兩年，黃之鋒 Facebook 專頁即有帖文言自己未有垮掉，寄語港人面對香港困境，仍可默默耕耘、由低做起。
11月23日，黃之鋒入獄兩年，其 Facebook 專頁特意發文，寄語一眾同路人。黃之鋒先引用香港歌隊 Dear Jane 、黃偉文填詞的《脫骹的華爾茲》歌詞：「我共宇宙說好了／有場舞還未發表／必須公告世間／我未有垮掉」。借詞寄意，表達自己雖身在牢獄，仍然未有垮掉。
黃之鋒指，在囚七百三十天以來，努力關心香港社會的變化，想方設法拉近與港人的距離。他以「半杯水」為喻，知道港人「由有到冇」，衝擊之大難以適應，有人因此離開，有人對世事不聞不問。就此，他認為香港過去是將水由6分滿斟至9分滿，「後來水暴烈地倒瀉了，剎那間熟悉的一切接連傾塌，教人應對不來」。
如今，黃之鋒提問：「哪怕現在水杯只剩下1的水量，我們每個人有沒有一個合適的位置，把水由1斟到2呢？」他指，之前「6斟到9」是各適其適、多姿多采，現在「1斟到2」則是默默耕耘、由低做起。由低做起的好處，在於更有可以開拓的空間，正如過去七八十年代的先行者一樣。
黃之鋒深知事情不易，但他在牢獄中依然看見很多人努力堅持，持續嘗試。「所以我很想叫大家不要只着眼香港種種的『呎退』，而忽略了每個逆水行舟，力求『寸進』的人。」最後，黃之鋒寄語港人，要有決心、耐心，譜出別於主調的「平行敘事」，努力把水由1斟到2 。
