香港傳媒界一片血雨腥風，超過500名來自英國各地港人響應雷丁（Reading）港人組織號召，於當地時間周日（1月2日）下午在市中心築起人鏈，在雨中聲援香港新聞工作者。

雷丁反暴力人鏈行動
10月16日，一班香港人在中共駐曼城領事館外和平集會，其間領事館職員主動破壞集會人士的示威物品，更有一名香港人被領事館職員拖入領事館範圍內毆打。中共明顯侵犯英國公民的言論及人身自由，絕對不能容忍。
因此，「Reading UK Stands with Hong Kong」發起人鏈行動，希望讓更多本地人了解今次暴力事件，以及中共怎樣損害英國公民的言論及人身自由。詳情如下：

超過170名港人響應Reading UK Stands with Hong Kong (IG @readingukstandswithhk) 的緊急呼籲，自備英文文宣到雷丁市中心，築成人鏈並默站兩小時，向本地市民講解上星期中國駐曼城領事館人員把和平示威者拉入館內圍毆的事件，並呼籲他們向國會議員反映對事件的關注。
有英國市民主動表示會出一分力，電郵向國會議員表達他的關注；亦有不少英國本地人駐足閱讀參加者的標語、向在場義工了解情況、甚至鼓掌為香港人打氣及送上祝福。

英國七個城市默站抗議香港47人案
全球十多個香港人組織聯合舉辦默站活動，包括英國九個城市，旨在喚起公眾對「香港47民主派不公平審訊」的關注。昨日4月15日，英國七個城市，包括列斯、曼徹斯特、諾定咸、雷丁、薩頓、碧仙桃和愛丁堡完成了默站抗議。抗議者戴上白色面具，傳達「任何人都可以成為香港47」的重要信息，表達團結。
Over a dozen Hongkonger diaspora organisations across the world have come together to organise silent protests in various cities, including 9 cities in the UK, to raise awareness of the "Hong Kong 47 Democrats Unfair Trial". On April 15, 7 cities in the UK, including Leeds, Manchester, Nottingham, Reading, Sutton, Bristol, and Edinburgh, completed their silent protests. The protesters wore white masks to convey the important message that "anyone can be Hong Kong 47" and to demonstrate their unity.

縱使港共用國安法威脅海外香港人，依然有逾200名香港人參加6.11由Reading UK Stands with HK 舉辦的「612四周年雷丁集會」，紀念2019年反對逃犯條例修訂及後的抗議活動。
集會嘉賓 @bonhamtreeaid 細葉榕人道支援基金 Bonham Tree Aid的Thomas及 @finnlau_cd 攬炒巴・劉祖廸 Finn Lau劉祖迪分享了他們的經歷和想法。讓我們繼續攜手為香港共同努力，海外港人繼續為香港發聲。
此外，下午2點在Broad Street亦有設街站，向途人講解中共的暴行，包括在全球多個國家開設秘密海外警察局，利用孔子學院向英國進行大外宣以及向政黨提供捐款等。
我們發起了聯署呼籲市民要求總理辛偉誠兌現他在競選時的承諾，關閉所有英國的孔子學院，調查並關閉所有在英國的秘密海外警察局。
