We took the chance to explain to different local residents about dates deteriorating situation in Hong Kong, and urge everyone to take actions to help the political prisoners in Hong Kong, eg. write to one’s MP, spread the word & stand in solidarity with those who are losing freedom and human rights in the world nowadays.

落雨，我哋班義工唔係諗取消、唔係諗自己會淋濕，係驚啲紙板唔知點算☔️
天氣比預期好好多，有人話見到有人仲會出嚟好感動，
比起其他地方例如英國我哋係少人好多，但每一個仍然唔放棄、仍然會出嚟嘅人我哋都好珍惜💛

They are university lecturer, social workers, activists, former legislators, etc.

These are some of the faces among numerous Hongkongers who have been jailed for years simply because they fought for democracy (in the way totally lawful and normal in all democratic countries like Australia).

Thank you for everyone who came to join us to stand solidarity with the political prisoners today.

As part of a wider global joint effort, yesterday, we gathered at San Francisco Union Square in solidarity with other protestors to call for international awareness of the ongoing trial of the “#HongKong47” pro-democracy advocates. They are currently facing an unfair trial which accused them baselessly of “conspiring to subvert state power”.

7 UK cities joined the “Stand with Hong Kong 47”
英國七個城市默站抗議香港47人案

全球十多個香港人組織聯合舉辦默站活動，包括英國九個城市，旨在喚起公眾對「香港47民主派不公平審訊」的關注。昨日4月15日，英國七個城市，包括列斯、曼徹斯特、諾定咸、雷丁、薩頓、碧仙桃和愛丁堡完成了默站抗議。抗議者戴上白色面具，傳達「任何人都可以成為香港47」的重要信息，表達團結。

Over a dozen Hongkonger diaspora organisations across the world have come together to organise silent protests in various cities, including 9 cities in the UK, to raise awareness of the "Hong Kong 47 Democrats Unfair Trial". On April 15, 7 cities in the UK, including Leeds, Manchester, Nottingham, Reading, Sutton, Bristol, and Edinburgh, completed their silent protests. The protesters wore white masks to convey the important message that "anyone can be Hong Kong 47" and to demonstrate their unity.
