上周日（26日），倫敦港人聯合英國工會「工人反對中共」（Workers against the CCP）趁「香港民主派47人初選案」踏入結案陳詞的前一個週末，在中國駐英國大使館外舉行集會，要求香港政府釋放所有被告，停止政治打壓。

集會在英國時間下午三時舉行，包括約一百名英港人及本地人人參加。現場有人高叫「釋放所有香港政治犯」口號及舉起「釋放梁國雄」等標語。

早前被香港國安處懸紅百萬港元通緝的香港勞權監察（Hong Kong Labour Rights Monitor ）總幹事蒙兆達亦有在集會發言。

出席集會的港人Nick（化名），移英至今三年，每逢倫敦有集會都堅持從諾域治（Norwich）乘火車前來。

他坦言過去一年集會人數大跌，對此感到失望，「我哋喺海外有能力嘅，唔係應該多行幾步，為香港被噤聲嘅人發聲咩？」

他希望在英港人要做到薪火相傳，不要讓對抗極權在這一代就到此為止。
